Jason Richardson is nothing more than a bad contract that the Lakers will have to deal with for the next three years.

If we pull this off without getting rid of Scola and Parsons somehow, I shall do my dance of joy.

You can only use the amnesty once, and only on players who were on your team when the new CBA was signed.

Exactly, it's a salary dump. The biggest part of landing Dwight is having the room to take on horrible contracts.

Orlando wants their cap to be flexible after this.

I'll counter with if we pull his off without getting rid of Parsons, Lamb, and White, I'll do my jig of joy.

(Would include DMonts but don't think he can be dealt for 30 days and this better damn well be completed before then).

Rockets remain strongly engaged w/ Orlando in direct talks for Dwight Howard, sources tell Y! They've spent little time on 3-way scenarios.

Its hardly a bad contract...6 mil a year isnt bad at all. He can easily score 10-15 points a night. Plus, considering all the attention everyone else will get, he will be left on an island by himself. He knocked down 37% of his 3's last year...and I would guess that he would get many more open looks as a Laker.

Yes, he's not a star...but as a 5th option on a team...thats a great 5th option. Its gives them depth and a scoring punch from the bench.

And again, his contract is easily managed.
