Look dude, Howard does not control which team puts the most on the table for him. Get it?!? He doesn't control that. So, if he agrees to an extension in LA and won't agree to an extension in Houston????? Doesn't matter. What matters is which team gives Orlndo the best package. Dwight doesn't control that.

Your options arent necessarily the real options. I could easily ask, would you rather have Dwight for 5 years or Bynum for 1 year.

Im in the mindset, that more likely than not, Dwight would be a Rocket for 5 years if he is traded here. With that said, I'd rather have Dwight for 5 years over Bynum for 5 years.

If the Rockets really felt Dwight would be a one year rental, then we wouldnt be touching the subject of trading for him.

If our offer being accepted is contingent on LA taking back J-Rich and LA will only do the trade if Howard agrees to an extension then it matters a LOT.

If I'm Brook Lopez I'd try to get a team sign me just to screw up the Nets plans. That would force the Nets to match and make a Howard trade impossible for the next 6 months (correct me if I'm wrong). They would need Brook's permission to trade him if they matched.

I don't think they'd care about getting an extension when the team they'd roll out with next season is:

    Howard
    Gasol
    Richardson
    Kobe
    Nash

    Guaranteed champs.

I'd rather have Dwight for one year. Know why?

Because Dwight has NO WHERE TO GO TO. NO WHERE! The only possibility is the Lakers unloading the whole team except for Kobe to sign him. Is that going to happen??? NOPE!

    Once again,

Name the team that Dwight will walk to next year.

I have no regrets. In the defense of red meat it always gets the bad wrap with chicken and fish around.

Besides by tomorrow I have a feeling red meat will have as much relevence as us talking about Dwight Howard or Bynum. Thats my defense and I am sticking by my steaks!

I'm trying to stay on topic, but I'm happy to answer (so much for staying on topic!). When I'm scanning a thread, it makes it easier for me to find my posts. I started doing it a very long time ago, and it's a habit now. It also makes it easier to read quotes from my own posts. I don't always bold the entire thing if I'm just concerned with a particular comment, but if I'm responding to all that I quoted, yeah, I bold the whole quote. I may have other reasons I'm forgetting right now, what with hoping for a huge deal to go down at any moment. Oh yeah! My eyesight is lousy. I once made a suggestion in Feedback that all quotes be bolded, and the request (not granted!) was entirely selfish. It was to make quotes easier for me to read. See? I knew I had more reasons for doing it.

Dallas is the only team that *might* have cap space to sign him. Now, tell me why he would pass up 30 mil.

I doubt the clippers or Boston will have cap room for him. and you're telling me he's going to flush all that Money down the toilet to sign with similarly mediocre teams like the Mavs and hawks? give me a break

Jopatmc, I'm certainly NOT saying he will, but Utah has Al Jefferson and Paul Milsap both expiring after this year.

I do NOT think he'd sign there, but they always seem to screw us somehow...lol. They were silent in dealing Deron to New Jersey. I hope they don't jump into the picture NOW and offer Jefferson, Milsap and Watson (all expirings) for Dwight and Richardson.

I don't know what type of draft picks they have to throw into the deal, but that much in expirings is attractive to Hennigan I would assume.

But again, I've said all along these GM's should call these star's bluffs more often. I definitely think he'd re-sign here. Too much money to walk away from.

So he would lose 30 million dollars to go play in Dallas?

Clippers wont have money to sign him.

Boston? Nope. Im not even sure if they could offer the max...but again, why would he lose 30 million to play with a washed up Pierce and KG?

    WTF is wrong with clutchfans?
Dwight Howard is a legit superstar. The best center in the game right now and in the top 5 players. Bynum is no superstar. I think some people are just pissed at Dwight's antics and are infatuated with Bynum since he reportedly has the Rockets on a list of teams he would be interested in. BYNUM IS NOT A SUPERSTAR. He is not someone you can build around. Dwight is. Clutchfans is always prioritizing getting a superstar, yet here they are saying they would rather have Bynum than Howard. Even though Dwight may leave, at least we would have a shot at keeping him and having a superstar. If Bynum stays we still have no one to build around. Take the chance, go for Dwight.

Boston and the Clips won't have the cap space.

Atlanta may have the cap space but there's no way they'll be able to put a better team around him.

Dallas will have to clear the decks down to Dirk and Marion to bring in Dwight. He's not going to walk there to play with a 35-year-old Dirk.

And both situation requires him to walk away from a birds rights contract.

And that my friend, is the entire list of possibilities.

Exactly this!! Why do people think morey is stupid and trying to pull this trade as a 1 year rental..he knows once we get Howard, chances are we are keeping him..otherwise he would never have pursued this trade...but for some reason people here think they are smarter than Daryl and could teach him a thing or two on how to run the team...I'm guessing a dude who graduated from MIT and has a good basketball background might know what he is doing

Bynum is a superstar. He is a top 10 player in the NBA. Since when is a top 10 player not a superstar?
