I refuse to play. If they trade D-Mo, Rolls Royce, or Dreamboat Parsons, then I won't watch a single game of the 2012 tank season. Sowwy!
D-Mo has the perfect size and athleticism for a PF and in a couple of years could be an ideal center. Advanced back to basket game and face up game. He will be a match up nightmare in the NBA considering his range and his first step. Great passer, but not on the level of White. White does not have a logical position right now. Do you put him at SF? Not fast enough nor quick laterally. At PF he is definitely undersized. Where to play him - oh my. Sorta an obvious choice. No?
I agree with this. I can very easily envision the whole board going up in arms with Terrence Jones blossoming, and then totally overrating his value and demanding that the Rockets never trade him. It's totally something the basketball gods would do to us because it's Clutchfans. That said, I'm not taking a dig at Parsons nor Jones, just saying that it would be very fitting for the reactionary mentality of the place.
And what do you base this opinion on? It is just your opinion and do tell - how many of White's and D-Mo's games have you watched in the last 6 months. Me - more than 20. You? I think your name says it all lunatic.
I think we can agree both players are very unique - 7"1 guy with mobility, shooting range, post game and can (now) rebound + a 6"8 260lb guy that can create, handle, lead a break, and be a ptFwd. Lamb and Jones may be easier to replace, but I like both of them as well. I really think Morey drafts well.
I have no idea. All I have seen of these guys are a couple of blurry YouTube videos. Doesn't anyone want to trade for Patterson or Morris?
Honestly, I have not seen enough of either of them to make an educated statement on who could be better. In my opinion, both have potential to be stars. I think people here tend to overrate D-Mo, because they hope that he can be the next big thing after Dirk. I really think the potential Dirk comparison has people overrating him. With White, there is no clear comparison for him. Remembering, as I said before, I haven't seen a ton of him (i.e. these are just guesses) - will he be a Rodman-type? Will he be more along the lines of a Gerald Wallce? Will he end up as Lebron-lite? It's hard to say. What it boils down to is this: I'd put him in probably the top 3 of this year's deep draft in terms of potential. Once again, I'd rather trade neither. In my opinion, you do what you can to keep Lamb, D-Mo, and White, while acquiring Howard or Bynum. Trade Scola and Martin while you're at it, just to clear the log jam and give the rookies playing time. A core of Howard (or Bynum), D-Mo, White, Lamb, and Parsons just oozes potential. Say somehow the Knicks don't match us on Lin (not sure what's gonna happen, but I think I heard they were matching), and we suddenly have one of the best up and coming teams in the league. Morey lovers rejoice!
Keep DMo, no question. He wasn't a top pick having a lot to do with his ability to come over, white went late first round with everyone seeing his game and knowing he was available now.
