Has Howard actually expressed anti-Houston sentiment?
As far as I know, he's been saying that the only place he'd re-sign would be with Brooklyn. IDK if the Nets will be able to sign him next year, even if he were willing to leave Houston's money on the table.

I don't like Bynum. You will never know when he will make a technical foul or try a 3pt or just laugh at his teammates. It's unacceptable

Nothing has happened yet! Lets all keep cool because we have been on this exact stretch multiple times. Save yourself from extreme disappointment.

But would we really be getting Dwight? Does it matter to you that he might walk?

From Feigen(albeit an hour or so old and not much new):

With the Orlando Magic’s trade talks to move Dwight Howard to Brooklyn stalling, the Rockets remained in talks about a deal for Howard, with the potential to expand a deal to pursue the Lakers’ Andrew Bynum, a person with knowledge of the process said on Tuesday.

The Rockets have been in talks with the Lakers often since the deal for Pau Gasol was blocked by NBA commissioner David Stern in December. The Magic would be interested in Bynum, but like Howard, he has indicated that he will not sign an extension or commit beyond next season to be a free agent next summer.

The Rockets are among the teams that would not hesitate to make a move for a franchise player even with that uncertainty. The Rockets could provide the Magic with the picks, young prospects and cost-reductions that Orlando has sought in any deal that would move Howard. The Rockets have ample cap space to take on one of the Magic’s long-term contracts in a deal, and have been working to move Luis Scola and Kevin Martin, according to an individual familiar with their plans.

The Rockets’ trade of Kyle Lowry to the Toronto Raptors could be official on Wednesday, depending on how long it will take the NBA to work through approval of the trades made in the previous 10 days. After that deal is officially completed, the Rockets will sign Omer Asik and Jeremy Lin to offer sheets, with their teams getting up to three days to match .

If we do get Dwight, than is our team a legit contender?

All the major free agents have been signed... (Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, Dragic..., Eric Gordan, Jason Terry)

Who will be our number two option? Will Scola or Martin still be with us?

I just feel like even if we do get Dwight, the fact that we had to let go of both Lowry and Dragic to get him, our chances for a title is slim.

    Brooks?
    Lamb?/
    Parson/Morris
    Scola/Patterson
    Howard/Omar?/Greg Smith

Maybe I am underrating our young players. I love the young players but are they ready enough at this stage of the career to compete with Thunders/Lakers/Miami even with Dwight?

With all this time gone by since draft night, it will be harder for Morey to get in the necessary players to surround Dwight.

Exactly! After all this is Morey we are talking about here. He could very tell us all how unlucky he was tomorrow.

Then you will all cry and I will take out the Mortal Kombat, Finish Him picture again on this subject. ;)

    THIS.

    I don't want us getting a 1 year rental.

I want us getting a legitimate young All Star big man.

good point, I know everyone states it like it is established fact, but has he actually been quoted as saying so?

Not sources close to him, or other random people...but has Dwight Howard or his agent ACTUALLY said Houston sucks and they want nothing to do with it.

I am surprised that more people like Bynum. Any special reason? because Howard flip-flop or what?

    The reality:

If the Rockets get Dwight, he will be a rental. He will be gone when he becomes a free agent.

If the Rockets get Bydumb, they will still be mediocre at best. An inconsistent player who is a headcase and will always tease you with his potential.

    Next.
