Uhh no, thats not why. He will get multiple rings because he is one of the best players in NBA history, and he has two other allstars in their primes on his team.

Thats that Denver, Cleveland, Orlando talk until their stars forced the issue. Its only 1 year away from his goal. I doubt he changes his mind with Deron Williams locked up. I dont know where but he strikes me as the type who likes to get his way or people get fired over it/left behind.

I get what you are saying , but I think I read some previous comments on here a while ago about Hakeem and his fist of fury has 2 rings, Mad Max was up running the stands trying to punch a fan in Portland (I believe) . We actually need a little toughness on this team. NOT>>>>> to the point of fouling out every game or getting suspended but I believe IF ANYBODY would benefit from Hakeem and his "Summer Coaching" it would be Bynum. And Bynum is still young

Why would he go to Dallas?
Houston can offer the same amount of money if not more and we have a better chance to get him more endorsement deals here.

He was only 3 months away from his goal at the trade deadline and he opted in because he wants the bird rights max.

Huh. I wasn't aware that Bynum went to Germany this summer to get the Orthokine treatments. Interesting.

I think this trade goes thru tonight or tomorrow Brooklyn has tried everything and Orlando has given them every chance to even get a third and even fourth team involved and nothing happen now it's on the rockets and lakers to get this done and I think it happens fast bcuz morey just wants a star and either d12 or Bynum will do so Moreys job will be done

If LeBron got frustrated and suspended in the NBA finals his team would lose.

helping the lakers make a superteam doesnt improve your teams chances...

it makes your roster better but the competetion even better...

id much rather land dwight and screw the lakers out of their next franchise face...

i want the lakers to suck and have to rebuild like the rest of us after kobe breaks down and nash and gasol also break down...

I'll start this post out by saying that Dwight is obviously the better player, and that if you're going to take any kind of chance (Dwight leaving/back problems; Bynum's knee/volatility), then you have to take a chance that gives you the best player up front.

HOWEVER, the arguments that some people have against acquiring these two players are asinine. Dwight leaving is yet to be seen, and you cannot afford to base an action in the here and now on something that you simply do not know for certain, especially when things can change drastically over a year. Secondly, Bynum's immaturity, though an issue, is not something that is impossible to correct. One poster said that Ron Artest tried to change but Bynum hasn't.... BYNUM IS 24 YEARS OLD. He has many years to go in this league, and to think that he can't put it together eventually is like the Dwight thing above--you simply can't afford to base an action in the here and now on a future hypothetical that could very well change.

You can say, well there's a history here: Dwight has expressed disinterest in Houston, and Bynum has gotten in trouble numerous times. Those things are true, but in the situation that Houston is in, you have to take a chance. You have to take a flyer. Human beings aren't static. Their emotions and opinions can change over time. Dwight can choose to stay, just like Bynum can choose to tone it down. And really, deciding between the two best centers in the league isn't all that bad.

The only thing that could go wrong here, in my opinion, is if the Rockets get stuck with absorbing all of Orlando's crappy contracts while the Lakers get off scot-free (as usual).

He has already said he doesn't want to be here. I was just naming a team with capspace.

I hope Bynum proves me wrong.
Because if he doesn't I'll be starting "I told you so" threads until he leaves the organization.

I'll be the tinman of Bynum (unless he wins us a championship). :p

    This caught my eye.

Central to the Rockets' offer is a 2013 first-round draft pick that they'll soon acquire from the Toronto Raptors as part of a verbally-agreed trade last week that will send guard Kyle Lowry to Toronto.

So when does that trade get finalized? Could this hold us up?

For all of those complaining about Bynum's act, I would imagine the same complaints would have existed in relation to Barkley before he got here. Unfortunately, something like clutchfans didn't exist back then for us to know for sure. Regardless, even if Bynum has been a punk at times he is still the second best center in the NBA and is only 24. He can get better and he can grow up.

I think another added benefit is Lamb should get a lot more open looks, which will be huge for his development (assuming we can keep him).

Also because the NBA is fixed and David Stern wants MIA to win for ratings.

Nobody should want to be the "tinman" of anything! We should all strive for more!

It makes the competition better for a year or two. During that year or two, the Rockets will still be building their roster. Then, when Kobe and Nash are done, Houston will have hopefully built the team around Bynum and ready to move to the top of the western conference with OKC.
