Yeah. Elbowing players and breaking ribs is what everyone did in the 80's. Oh shut the hell up with that baseless generality. The NBA in the 80's was tough, physical, and sometimes ended up with confrontations that ended up with fists flying; sure.
Does that justify Bynum trying to seriously injure players out on the court? No. This is ****ing r****ded ass logic. Just because something was one way in the past doesn't mean its compatible with the present. That's conservative logic.

Pushing and shoving is fine. ELBOWING PLAYERS AND ATTEMPTING TO SERIOUSLY INJURE THEN IS NOT OK.

No. If Orlando were willing to take the risk on Bynum, talks would've never gotten thus far with the Rockets (or the Nets, or anyone else). It would be the simplest deal ever and would've been done a long time ago. Orlando is clearly not comfortable in his willingness to re-sign.

The part about the Lakers taking Richardson is what explains them getting Howard and Houston Bynum. Because the Lakers view Howard as an upgrade (no matter how slight), they should provide some other value to the trade besides merely Bynum, if that's the way it goes down.

Ultimately, the Rockets hold the cards because our package is what Orlando is most comfortable with. I think it'll come down to some calculus by Morey as to which he prefers: Howard and less cap flexibility and the risk he bolts, or Bynum and added cap flexibility and likely security that he stays. Usually you always take the better player, but it's conceivable to view Bynum and Howard as close enough that the additional flexibility is worth taking Bynum. I think that's where we're at tonight.

OK sure... Magic will get the memo of Lakers willing to take back Jason Richardson but totally blank on the part of Lakers' pursuit of Dwight Howard...

So therefore, the trade will be this:

    J-Rich to Lakers
(Insert Rocket players here on what we're giving up) to Orlando
    Dwight Howard to Houston.

There's your "three team trade!"

Everyone wins! LOL.... Get it done, Morey!

The way I look at it, when a guy CLEARLY states he will not sign with you long term and has no interest in playing for your city, the prospects of resigning that UNRESTRICTED free agent are very slim.

I am all for the gamble because im tired of the mediocrity. But personally I prefer Bynum. Sky is the limit if he is a number one option imo. And on top of that, he has said he wants to play here. Which we really dont get to hear that very often anymore, so i like that

    Bynum.
I hate KG for being a punk and complete douchebag, but Bynum is legitimately out there trying to kill people for beating his team. At least KG doesn't do anything that causes actual physical harm to opposing players.

that still would have happened in the 80's the Bad Boys Pistons would try and hurt you if you had your key players late in a game againist them in a blowout

    Nobody likes Gasol.
The minority of people here like Bynum.

    Its Howard or bust.

To me it is a no-brainer in going with Bynum. Yes Howard is better, but I would be shocked if Bynum doesn't re-sign plus you don't have to give up as much (i.e. hopefully we can keep Lamb, Parsons and D-Mo if we take on Bynum instead of Howard).

Nah Bynum isn't quite a D Howard but would be a nice consolation prize. An All Star who has length & can play D.. PLEASE BRING BYNUM TO HOUSTON!!! a guy who actually wants to play here!!!!

I wouldnt take his words at such face value...Howard was pulling all the stops in order to try and get himself to Brooklyn this offseason. His dreams of playing with DWill are over. Its not gonna happen.

Dwight had listed only 1 team he would play for and he will have to come to terms with never playing for that team. If not Brooklyn, then what city definitely has the edge over Houston? I dont think many would. We will see.

So in final countdown. Not surprising that ORL wants final offers. Word from Nets is they're not giving up...even with FA success so far.

I personally don't like Bynum. However, if we can somehow get him or Dhow (2 best centers in the NBA), we should pull the trigger.

    This is basketball. Not MMA.
Even the ****ing NFL of all places, the mother of god of all contact sports has come down harshly on the bounty system and the intentional injuring of other players.
