Yeah, no. Even Lakersground dislikes Bynum's antics.
And we all know how classy Lakers fans are.

Drexler trade? That one led to a second championship so I would have to say that was the biggest trade in franchise history.

Ugh..that is NOT a contending team. Bynum will be a fringe franchise type player IF his knees hold up. From what I understand he needed an injection in his knee after the All Star game last season. Not to mention the fact he is a free agent next summer and a bit of a headcase.

I know I'm in the minority but why not acquire our future franchise player thru the draft the way we did with Hakeem and Yao. It is beginning to look like Andrew Wiggins will be available in the draft next year if he reclassifies. There could potentially be 3 franchise players in the next draft: Wiggins, Shabazz, and Nerlens Noel. Houston is not NYC or LA and I don't see premier players flocking here. The draft and smart trades will be needed to bring this team back to a championship level. New Orleans will probably be a contender soon because they blew up their team the right way.

    Those are probably Kobe Fans

Kobe Fans did the same thing with Gasol

they give them no credit, they dont want Kobe not to be the best player on the Lakers. So they put them down a lot

Bynum is their most consistent player

The great thing about the Williams trade is we get to keep our pick after next year if Howard decides to bail. I'm guessing the Rockets would make the playoffs and send their 2013 pick to the Nets (a weak draft that drops off in talent after the top 4-5 players are off the board). The Rockets would get to keep their 2014 draft pick and they could tank Morey's way if Howard leaves.

Biggest trade in rockets history was the barkley trade??????

I think the drexler trade was better..

I agree It's really a win win situation... I say be Happy you have a shot at 1 of the two best bigs in the game.

I've said it before beggars can't be choosers, get either and try to keep (in the words of more) assets, etc...

Would be fitting if the Rockets actually gets the trade done. Undertaker is a Houston native and getting Dwight after days of the "imminent" Nets trade would be coming back from the dead in a way.

I despise Howard and Bynum, but at this point I'd take Bynum over Howard. It's becoming increasingly clear to me that despite Bynum being injury prone, he's got a lot more "take no BS" attitude that suits our team. Not to mention he has a respectable post game.

Barkley was on the downside of his career. So was the trade for Clyde. Bynum is arguably the best center in the nba. Head issues aside he has rings and still hasnt reached his full potential.
A team built around Bynum could be very very good for us.
Hayes. Malone. Hakeem. Bynum. That would be freaking sweet!

Not sure your aware of our current situation. We need something to build on. Bynum is a risk I'd take given the fact Howard has zero chance of being here long-term. If Morey can pull off Bynum I'd change my stance on him being fired

Because he's been pushing the Howard to Nets rumors, and now that those have died down he doesn't have as much to say.

    LOL.

Who is going to trade for Amare for expirings? Not to mention. Even if it were possible for the Knicks to move out Amare for expirings, they're still gonna have to unload Chandler for expirings too! Tell me where all the expirings are to eat up these deals.

Same thing with Gasol. Older player. Who is gonna suck down Gasol's deal for an expiring? Not to mention after doing that and amnestying Artest (or finding an expiring contract for him too...smh), Lakers are still going to have to find a place to dump Bynum if they've re-signed him..............errrr

    OR

perhaps the lakers don't re-sign him and Bynum walks. Well, where is Bynum going to walk to????

You see, for Dwight to get to the lakers.....Bynum becomes available in free agency. You guys that want Bynum because of the security of having him sign an extension............you can get him next summer for 4 years instead of 3.....if indeed Howard walks to the Lakers, because the only way Howard walks to the Lakers is if Bynum and Gasol are both gone.

THERE ARE NO PLAUSIBLE SCENARIOS THAT YOU CAN COME UP WITH FOR DWIGHT TO WALK TO A MAJOR MARKET TEAM.
