Well call me one of those that is in limbo with regards to my support for Morey. I know he is intelligent, and has a good track record with trades and draft picks but this off season has me scratching my head. In my opinion all will be forgiven if he can trade for one of the 2 best Centers in the NBA. For me it will be as if he has this plan all along and it finally came to fruition. However if he ends up with nothing but this roster full of forwads i for one will be highly disappointed. So what do u say ClutchFans.......do you think Morey will get the job done?

It will also be interesting to look back at this thread in a few days when everything is finalized one way or another.

I don't see how he couldn't .. Orlando doesn't really have many options at this point.

Dwight will be traded for Bynum (or to the Nets). Houston won't be involved.

No. I predict that the Magic will ultimately deal Dwight to Brooklyn and the Rockets will be left with nothing to make happen.

People here will call Morey an idiot who can't close a deal despite it being universally believed he has the better offer on the table.

Yeah, only down side is we probably won't be able to compete this season. If we can sign lin and asik though that would provide depth at C to relieve bynum and some talent other then bynum but in reality thats not gonna happen either.

Lol doesn't this have to go down tonight before the Asik deal is official? Why would we want our backup center making over 8mil.

Anyways, not sure how I feel about this. Talking about trading for Bynum he seems like such a jackass, other star players will not be lining up to play with as if he were Howard. I also don't wanna be tied down to Turkoglu horrible contract or whatever other salary dump we are givin. Hopefully we don't give up all our young pieces.

perhaps you didnt watch the nba last season, he is the best big man in the west while dwight is the best in the east. bynums length and post game is enough to make houston better and he is younger than dwight. Both centers have problems ( back, knees) so its all in the air. Dwight and kobe wont mix much cause he complained hard about not getting the ball enough in orlando so how is he gonna feel with kobe dominating the ball all game?

The Nets have a really sh***y offer on the table for Howard. My worry is that Morey may outsmart himself in trying to just beat the Nets offer for Howard. If Morey wanted to do a deal for Howard he could overwhelm the Lakers and Nets offer. But overpaying is not in Morey"s DNA.

The only reason why Bynum didnt average 25 and 12 was because of Kobe hogging the ball

Bynum would be our best big-man since Yao

I think he's going all in and I think something probably gets done. Maybe there is a dark horse team who could swoop in and beat our offers, but I'm kind of doubting it at this point due to the lack of rumors about it. Unless Bynum decides he wants to sign an extension in Orlando & they decide they prefer him to our package of assets, I think we're it, to get one of the two players.

Not just best big man... best player

Unless you really think Kyle Lowry or Goran Dragic were better than Bynum, which I sure as hell don't
