Orlando would definitely be getting some of our young players, plus almost assuredly the Toronto pick I imagine. If they're able to dump a bad contract with Howard to get cap space + picks + young players, that's probably a huge win for them at this point. They are running out of options.

On another note, this is how I feel about the Rockets offseason now that we are in the thick of the Dwightmare again:

Your negatives are valid. That said, the team will still most likely suck and be rebuilding with him on the roster.

As they would, at this point, with Dwight... because they've traded so many pieces.

But with Bynum you are much more comfortable taking the resigning risk. Though you are much less comfortable feeling good about his play after he does resign for that max contract.

Iam sorry but if that happens i will be extremely dissapointed!! The only way a trade like this should go through is if we are giving Orlando a considerably worse offer than what we previously had on the table.

Bynums injury concerns are much higher than those of Howards'

He isnt even in the same hemisphere in terms of a player as Dwight...sure he does have the potential to be great , but with what we are offering id expect a bonafide SUPERSTAR NOW!!

And if Bynum was the chip that orlando most wanted, why in the world would they agree to this trade if they arent even getting him....i still believe howard will e a rocket tomorrow....and i damn sure hope iam right....

I would welcome this trade even if it meant hearing Barry Warner say repeatedly on the radio that he told us so.

Crap, the more I think about it, the less I want to do any deals...Ive just gotten too attached to our rookies/next year's 1st rounder from Toronto. I'd hate to see that go. I think I'd rather suck for a year, have possibly 2 lottery picks...as well as all the cap room to bring in free agents. Al Jefferson and CP3 possibly? Then, you are looking at a 55-60 win team with a solid supporting cast around those 2 players.

If Stern veto's this one I will be seriously pissed. Bynum actually wants to be here...he would finally be the piece we need to build around.

CP3 isn't going to leave the Clippers and the extra year on his deal to sign in Houston with no stars.

Why would we give LA Parsons?

LA has to give Orlando something too. Bynum isn't enough by himself. They are getting the top prize!

Agree...Bynum is worth less than Dwight. Since Orlando is desperate to get a better offer after the garbage the Nets offered the asking price has changed. I don't think we have to offer near as much for Bynum and plus LA can throw in some added prospects/pics/players gasol?) in exchange for Dwight. LA will have to give up more, not houston!

I'd rather have Bynum for 5 years than Dwight for 1. But, I'd be happy with either.

Get it done already. Have the Player that really wants to be here is a win win situation. I am sure if it gets done it will be very soon. DH will like LA he will have all the options to pursue his second career of being an actor wanna be.

I am no Bynum fan but the guy is an absolute beast! I would seriously take Bynum over Howard for couple reasons...1 Bynum is younger 2. Bynum would like to play in Houston...why risk getting Howard just to see him leave while the rockets lose all their assets for a 1yr rental when Bynum can be our center of the future...and imagine him working with Olajuwon and McHale, scary!!! I would absolutely love Bynum on the rockets
