Assuming we get Dwight, name two other realistic trade targets you would want to put around him.

If we do trade for Dwight, where's he going to go if he wants to leave? Brooklyn and LA won't have capspace. I don't see why Atlanta would be a more favorable destination, so I feel like our only real competition would be Dallas.

Might go after Tyreke Evans or Rudy Gay

I think it will end up like this...

    LA gets: Dwight Howard
    HOU gets: Andrew Bynum
ORL gets: Kevin Martin, Patrick Patterson, Chandler Parsons, 2 future 1st round picks, 2 future 2nd round picks

    I personally like it.

    ?
    Lamb
    White
    Motie
    Bynum

Skeptical about giving away picks though...

Teams with the best return for the Magic: Atlanta, Houston
Teams with the most intrigue but poor assets: Nets, Lakers
Team that has zero chance: Mavs

Team that ORL still wants to engage with: Nets...

Something clearly is not right with this at all.

Can't wait until Dwight actually signs with someone and this media circus goes away. Would be interesting to finally see what Morey REALLY offered if anything, as well as other teams. Too many smokescreens and UN-credible sources...

As stated before, the logical destinations are Houston or LA. LA because they have Bynum, and Houston because they are willing to rent and have the ingredients for a rebuilding team.

Howard most likely ends up in Houston because of the unlikelihood that both Bynum and Howard agree to extensions with their new teams.

If that unlikelihood happened, Dwight will be in LA. ORL wants Bynum. But there are conditions to getting him.

The Rockets offer has no conditions from HOU. Rental? Don't care, trade here. Our players will tweet in dissatisfaction? Don't care, trade here. Rockets will have no talent after the trade aside from Howard? Don't care, trade here.

I believe that this whole time, HOU has always had the best offer. The Rockets' offer has been the fall back plan since last year's deadline. It probably got even better with more picks and more defined ability in some of the young players. Not to mention the extra year means a year less of an established expiring contract like Martin.

This whole Brooklyn and "last sweep" charade is to find someone with the ability, return and guts to take Howard without an extension. Brooklyn is the only team, so far, that is in position to take Howard with the extension, but they don't have the return. They can't seem to find a team to meet those conditions. HOU meets all of the above.

Scola, Patrick Patterson, Toronto Pick 2013, and 1st round 2014, and Knicks 2 2 rounders 2013...is right now still better than the Nets package.

Depends on who we give up and get back. Calderon maybe. Maybe try to bring back Courtney if it's feasible at that point.

if we give up next year's pick, we are gonna regret it. Even with Dwight, Houston will miss the playoffs. Our team has been absolutely gutted. Terrible idea.

Anyone want to start a side business of selling this picture at shooting ranges around Houston? You would make a killing!

LOL. Please stop. If you think this roster misses the playoffs, you're either clueless about basketball, have an agenda, or are on drugs.

    C: Howard/Asik
    PF: Scola/Motiejunas/White
    SF: Parsons/White/Richardson
    SG: Lee/Richardson
    PG: Brooks/Douglas/Livingston

That's a 50+ win team, easy. Possibly 55. Why don't you compare it to the 2009 Rockets, the last contender we've had here?

I would hate to give up the 2014 First rounder, especially if Howard leaves after next year.

As long as it is top 10 protected...but it would be such a fail to send them it unprotected and then watch as Orlando drafts their next superstar Andrew Wiggins and Dwight leave H-town...

This would set the franchise back for years and years.

Well, Idk the details of who we would lose, but assuming Lin goes back to NY, how about josh smith, and at the end of the season offer not only DWIGHT the max but Chris Paul...yea I know its a pipe dream, but its possible
