How else can you explain them pursuing a trade with the Nets over the Rockets?

    Oh yeah,

I'm really starting to believe the Dan Fegan "blackball" conspiracy theory. It's as if Houston has never put in an offer according to national media.

I don't like the rules either but I'm tired of the owners crying like babies. This is the system they backed. It's bad enough that they sign guys like Stromile Swift to full MLE deals and want relief for their stupidity - but now this? Where's the NBA I grew up with man?

For some reason I have a feeling the second round picks we got from New York will be part of a package offered for duwight...

How about be size they're trying to jack up the offers from Houston, LA and Atlanta or maybe even Golden State by pretending they're serious about what virtually everyone (outside of NY) believes is a crappy deal? A signed Lopez as your centerpiece for $6m a year? That I believe. A $14m a year Lopez when you just traded you 16/8 power forward because $9m a year was too much? That I don't believe. Also, the two Brooklyn picks are not even worth a 17th pick since they're around 25 or higher in alternating years. You think Orlando will help out Dwight after he's dragged them through hell for the past year and half? They'll do the right thing for Orlando, or else the GM will be cited within a year.

I think there's a growing movement amongst fans (not in LA or Brooklyn of course) that WANTS to see Howard end up in Houston for 3 reasons:

    1. Nobody wants to see yet ANOTHER superteam formed in Brooklyn.

    2. Nobody wants to see Dwight Howard pout and get his way after acting like such a baby.

    3. People genuinely believe that Houston's offer is legitimately the best offer on the table, and Orlando should get a fair return.

exactly. you never see stuff about Houston having the best deal. even david aldridge is anti-houston. but you know what, i see a lot of comments from orlando magic fans that say we really have the best deal for Howard.

Orlando's fan base is overwhelmingly in support of a Rox trade.

The #Magic have been talking to other teams all along. I'm not sure anything has changed on the Dwight Howard front.

This. But when you're ESPN and constantly bang the Howard/Brooklyn drum...of course you then have to report 'They're opening it back up'. Well it was never closed or down to one team. Doubt we see a report from anywhere else about Orlando 'opening it back up.'

Pretty much how I feel. I wouldn't be surprised if we end up with Bynum if LA lands Dwight. That's assuming the report of Bynum being interested in Houston is true.
