When I think of Bynum, I think of an angry young man tearing his jersey off while being escorted off the court. When I think of DHo, I think of reading DNP-Back spasms.

I have no desire to help LA get Dwight Howard. None. You are talking about creating an unbeatable superteam in LA if you do that.

Even Lebron would know to be afraid of that team.

The reason a deal with the Lakers hasn't already materialized is because Morey IS NOT willing to give up as much for Bynum as he is for Howard. He's forcing Orlando's hand here. Take his offer or find a better offer. The only way we wind up with Bynum or Pau is if Orlando bypasses our offer and makes a trade agreement with the Lakers and then they bid out Bynum and Gasol and we bid on one of them.

Morey has no incentive to help the Lakers become dominant again for the next decade which is what would happen if Dwight is traded there. They play out the string with Kobe and Nash for 3 seasons and then they've got cap space to go get whoever wants to play alongside Dwight.

I will believe this deal when I see it. The 3-way Bynum deal intrigues me.

Morey= always the bridesmaid never the bride.

I'm serious, of all the things I disagree with the most here, it's the idea that we should be facilitating the Lakers rebuilding on the fly. I can't stand it. They're the Los Angeles Lakers. We are the Houston Rockets. No way in the world I do a deal where I hand them (or help them in landing) a guy with Dwight's abilities. Never. Have some pride.

I understand the negativity and hopeless feeling.

    Here's my counter:

    1. Orlando is not a big market team. And they're the one that has Dwight and are trying to get the best value for him.

    2. Unless something changes today, we have the best offer on the table for Dwight.

    3. Howard to Houston is only irrelevant as long as it doesn't happen. When it does happen, it will be very relevant. And Howard staying in Houston will be the first steps of the new CBA having it's effect on the entire league.

I still don't understand this mentality. I know we don't hear anything through media about their interest in anything Morey has to offer, but aren't we kidding ourselves if we haven't moved any closer to getting Howard, and the Nets have?

If we were to to get Bynum i wouldnt give 2 ****s where dwight ended or even if we helped get him to LA, as long as we are getting better period.

People are over-reacting like we would give up the same assets for bynum, that is totally untrue. Iam sure our offer will drop considerably because of the simple reason that Howard IMO #3 player in the NBA and Bynum doesent crack the top 15..

I still think Dwight is bound to come here no matter how much i try to convince myself otherwise....patience is the key, Orlando will come running back with the utter **** being offered....Morey has done well not accepting too many bad contracts with howard which imo is the only reason y we havent struck a deal yet.....Patience and Superman will save us!!

All the Nets talk is media bologna. It's a bunch of bull manufactured by the Nets and Howard's camp that has been swallowed hook, line, and sinker by ESPN and the rest of the big media types. Do not be intimidated by it.

I'm always a little mindful of drinking the CF kook-aid, but objectively the Nets offer is seen as crap but most fans of any team except probably the Nets fan base. This guy hennigan is suppose to be some young genius, so I can't seriously believe he's entertaining the nets offer.

Anyone else think Morey is playing chicken with hennigan? Maybe only offering just enough to be better than the nets offer? Say Martin, 2 1sts, 2 2nds, some unguaranteeds, and just 1 rook? That's still better than what the Nets are offering.

Orlando was never going to show its cards until the 11th. here's hoping for a happy ending tonight...whatever that may entail

They already have Bynum, who is nearly just as good as Howard and younger. This makes no sense. How does Howard help them 'rebuild on the fly' when they already have a younger Bynum? They're rebuilding on the fly with Bryant, Gasol, and Nash (34, 32, 38)?
