I kind of disagree here. He seems to be pretty steadfast about not bringing anything back that could inhibit a bigger move.

We are one of the youngest teams in the NBA. Someone is bound to have a breakout year.

Actually I think if a team is under the cap they can aggregate the salaries at once. Think the restriction is for teams over the cap only. Bima or Nikestrand can dig into it to clarify.

And I hate posters like you who constantly act like you'd do a better job in his position. You compare morey to guys that weren't in the same position as him. You mention Presti, when they tanked and traded for top picks with star vets. Then Riley who ALREADY had Wade. Do you think lebron and Bosh would go to miami if he wasn't there? Morey only had 2 injury prone stars, who when healthy, may have won it all. Sadly that didn't happen and barely got any value from tmac and yao retired. Even after all that, he was still forced to win games with a mediocre team because of what the boss said.

Now I don't worship morey like a god, but I do think he's doing the best job that could be done with this team knowing the circumstances. I trust the moves he makes because whatever he does affects THE ROCKETS, and I support the rockets even with a team full of PF's because that's what fans do.

Please you and Obama fan stop posting. Posters like y'all irritate me.

I dont understand what all the hate is for....

If anything, this strategy is a season late. Morey's gutting the vets off this team and trading them to competitors who are going to value their services more than we are, and in turn getting more in return. Lowry and Camby are gone, chances are Scola and KMart wont be too far behind them.

The issue is fairly apparent, which is the accumulation of mediocre talent without any discernible approach to fielding a team and long term strategy. I think many of us expected the ongoing seasons of mediocrity to have materialized into a superstar and are bitter/angry that it hasnt. If you're willing to set that issue aside, at the very least we're moving in a direction where the team wont be stuck in the 8-14 range of the draft going forward and will actively be rebuilding, which, considering the circumstances, is a step in the right direction.

Confederate money is a term for something that really isn't worth what it seems. Hollinger said it because it is for non guaranteed money.. We can cut the players with limited cost.. Also very attractive in trade.

Are you kidding me? Morey owns New York!

Instead of letting Camby go to NY to sign the mini-midlevel, he talked New York into paying Camby more money AND giving us 2 risk-free assets in Harrelson and Douglas PLUS two 2nd round freebies?!?!?!?!

If it weren't for NBA stars being b****es and wanting to circle jerk with each other, Morey would own this league. He just sold ice to an Eskimo.

Over 10% of the voters hate this move.

28 extreme Morey haters on this board. Those same people would be saying WHY DIDN'T MOARY GET ANYTHING FOR CAMBY if he signed outright with another team.

    Think of it this way:

HOU got more for Camby after his contract has already ended than Portland got for him while Camby was still under contract.

But... The Houston 2nd rounder will probably be higher than the 2 NY picks.
