Coming up on the all star break, every team in the AL East still above .500 (though the Orioles appear to be doing it with smoke and mirrors given their -28 scoring differential). Man, what a brutal division to play in.

The Dodgers just lost Dee Gordon for 6 weeks with a torn thumb tendon. They were already Astros-level bad on offense. Now would be a great time to offer them Lowrie for a big package based around Zach Lee. Hell, the Astros could even ask for fallen prospect Katie Holmes too.

Is Chone Figgins the worst player in baseball history?

He's hitting .186/.245/.276, and that is actually an improvement over last year's .188/.241/.243

Can somebody tell Seattle you don't have to keep somebody on your roster just because they are under contract?

Damn, he fell off pretty bad.

Remember him on his Angels day, he was a top 5 leadoff hitter with a good OBP.

The game is boring. I agree with the article.

I enjoy the HR Derby...but it always reminds me of one thing...

I hate Chris Berman. I don't use that term lightly. His voice, his schtick, everything about him just grates on me like fingernails on a chalkboard. I watch in spite of him. I wish I had a "Mute Chris Berman" button on my remote. I'd pay for that.

It's always been known as one of the nicer stadiums in the majors. I've driven past but never been there. Always wanted to go, though.

Completely agree. His schtick has long worn thin. The thing I hate the most about Berman during the HR Derby is the bit he does where he says "that one's headed for (insert suburb or nearby city)." So naturally, I got a kick out of what happened today. George Brett joined them in the booth. While he was there, Berman said "that one's headed for Omaha!" and Brett corrected him and said that Omaha was actually in the other direction.

I went to the 2005 NFL Draft and we sat pretty close to the ESPN booth. He is a complete and utter *******.

Crazy game in Cincinnati this afternoon. Reds come back from 6-0 to win it 7-6 and take sole possession of first place.
