To be clear, I'm told Kris Humphries is only interested in multi-year GUARANTEED deal.

this thing will fall apart and never happen as long as hump sticks to his guns and doesnt allow himself to be pawned

In addition, where would he go? We wouldn't trade him. So both LAs and both NYs are out, and Dallas is collapsing. The only team with cap space that could be a threat is Atlanta, but Howard's never demonstrated much interest there either.

pretty sure Kris will - he has been somewhat of a ridicule most of the year with being called Mr. Kardashian and the 72 day marriage and all (even though he probably made money off the deal)

i am sure he wants to be the pushover again - he is going to get whats best for him this time. i am hoping he sticks to his guns and not cave in - and if there is a backdoor deal - have it exposed and trade veto'ed

Do we know that Orlando is willing to accept a trade without us including any of our future first round picks? If we have to give up our unprotected 2015 first round pick the trade becomes even riskier for our future.

Dallas collapsing means nothing for cap space next year. Dallas could go into next year with space for Paul and Howard.

That said, Paul isn't leaving LA. Howard is signing wherever he goes.

If a trade like this ends up going through, what would Les Alexander's reaction be?? We all saw how Dan Gilbert (that hypocritical piece of garbage) and Mark Cuban reacted last season when the trade got vetoed....where will our owner's moral indignation be directed?? I just can't help but feel like the Rockets are completely impotent when it comes to clout in the NBA. When a completely douchebag assclown like Dan Gilbert has more say within the league office, you KNOW you're a pushover.

No they will not. Dirk is being paid 22.7 Mil next year. Even if they trade everyone on their team they would have have 11 minimum cap holds at minimum salaries for another $4.95 Milion. $22.7 Mil plus $4.95 Mil puts them at $27.65 Mil, even if the cap rises to $61 Mil they would have only $33.5 Mil to offer. Dwight is getting his $20 Mil extension and that leaves only $13.5 to offer C-Paul unless they want to each only take $16.5 Mil.

I don't think all of that 22.7 counts towards the cap.

    Why wouldn't it?

And supa is right. The D3 dream was always impossible. Dallas can get one max free agent with Dirk. Not two.

KHump's best chance at beingoverpaid is to stay with the Nets and have them strike out of a Dwight trade. The Nets'll be forced to overpay because they won't have any other options to improve the team.

As a Clipper fan i want this trade to die. Forget Brooks, you don't help another team get D12. What you do is trade the overated ginger, and get Dwight for yourself...

I just hate Dwight Howard. Who is he that literally got his Magic team backed up into the corner because of his selfish trade demands. I hope he tore his ACL... There, I said it!!!

How did he lose his man card? There's nothing wrong with letting go of class A w#ore with no morals.

If Cleveland ponies up a 3 or 4 year deal, he should take it as soon as possible. Nobody is really asking for his service.

Let's be honest about something else . . . it's not like the Cavs have a real option at power forward as it is.

    Tell me something guys.

Cleveland is trying to build a winner there. Give me one reason why they want to HELP Brooklyn build a juggernaut that they have to play against to go to the Finals. Just give me one reason. Just one.

I cannot believe all the media reports and ESPN going ape gaga over this proposed deal. It's a total joke. It's not going to happen.

Name one valuable piece that Cleveland is losing in this deal. While, they can try to shore up the four spot with Kris Humphries. I think all of the picks are coming from the Nets.

Besides, I'm LOL @ trying to build a winner there.

You didn't give me one reason why Cleveland would want to help Brooklyn build a 10-year juggernaut.
