Ish was always an excellent passer and lighting quick...but just couldn't hit shots even open ones....that separates PG in this league...an ability to pass is great, but the ability to score when your team needs you...makes your team feared...ie. Rose, Nash, Rondo, DWill, CP3...
Can't say I didn't see this coming... Either way, good pick up. Let's hope he develops a jump shot, then we would really have a player on our hands.
currently other than Martin and Lamb, scoring is going to be a huge deal for the Rockets...and considering really good teams play better in the Half court set, a shot making PG gives a team an edge...Hence the reason why Rondo(notoriously poor shooter) made the series btwn the Heat and Celtics so close...Rondo however does a pretty good job finishing at the rim
The sentence might be clear and correct. But the point was wrong. The players he listed are all great at doing the things he listed in the next sentence. The logic is obviously flawed. Who doesn't need a great PG? The reason why those guys haven't played in the Finals is not because their passing skills are not needed for a championship team, but because they have not been lucky enough to be on a team that are good enough to get to the Finals. I've always pointed to Kevin Garnett as the example of a great players needing a great team to win a championship. Now you can do the same with LeBron James.
Ishmael Smith is one of the most underrated floor generals in the NBA. Give him free reign on how to run the offense out on the court and he's going to get 10 assists a game. The guy is a stud, too bad his game is nullified a bit since he can't shoot. He's probably one the worst shooters among guards in NBA history LOL.
YES!! YES !! YES !! I love me some Ish the Dish. I have been wanting him a long time. I hope he blows everyone away.
Sweet!!! I loved Ish, I followed him in college an was very interested in his NBA career. I was super excited when he wound up on the Rockets, and would go crazy every time he went in! Love the fact he's back.
Hopefully he didn't regress. He was a baller for us, too bad Rick bull****ed him. Those pretty passes and the way he dissected the paint was sweet.
