I agree with you, but the major difference between this situation and the Gasol/Paul situation is that the NBA actually owned the Hornets. While it was a terrible decision to interfere, Stern used a technicality to stop a trade.

    This surprises you?

It's why people shouldn't have gotten pissed about the Lowry deal.

Morey should step in and offer Kris a 3 year deal with team option after year 1 and year 2 and screw this whole thing up

I dont get how Kris is agreeing to a 1 year deal like this -- its not even in his best interest at all WHY would he do this - what is up with his agent in all of this -- clearly there is something fishy going on here

Brooks is a bad defensive player, with a true shooting of 50%. You don't risk a lottery pick for that, and you can find that off the scrap heap if need be.

Luther Head as a rookie was more productive than Marshon Brooks.

Agent works for DHoward. Howard is guaranteed big money for an agent.

I'd be doubting him if I was Kris.

This is what happens when the man in charge doesn't have the overall league's best interests in mind. Agents, owners, and players act without boundaries. This deal is the most egregious act of collusion I've seen in professional sports in a long time (well, at least since the Pau Gasol deal).

Magic get Brook Lopez in S&T, Luke Walton, Damian James, Sheldon Williams, Armon Johnson and 3 first round picks

Tell me that is the best the Magic can get. Rockets can beat the players involved and the picks because the Nets will be contenders thus the 2 first round picks from them will not be top 10 (far from it!) and the Clippers neither. The players I do not even have to explain with Martin, Scola, D-Mo, Parsons, Lamb, White, Patterson etc.

who is reporting this as a 1yr deal. SnTs cannot be for only one yr. They must be for at least 3yrs.

There is nothing out there that even remotely resembles Kris and Lopez agreeing to a deal. Nothing. But there is a rumor that he won't do a 1-year deal. That should tell you something.

Both Dwight Howard and Kris Humphries represented by Dan Fegan. Rumor is, Fegan has agreed to contract, waiting for Humphries to sign off.

Problem, is Morey actually offering those players? Everyone says how Morey values D-Mo and Parsons and throw in 3 first round picks (maybe one lottery pick in that deal, considering the Rockets get Howard)

I also get the sense that Houston did not want to take on those bloody awful contracts.

The Rockets want Howard, but I don't think they want to break the bank for him. I'm also getting the sense the Magic probably don't want Martin or Scola.

If this trade goes thru it would be a Day light Robbery. Nets would ROBBED Orl. but i would like Stern to Veto this trade. if he does i would call it even then. lol.

martin would be a chip for orlando to immediately flip for another pick

if one asks why dont the rockets just ship him for the pick themselves, well they need his salary around to help match salaries...

This pisses me off. The reason the owners and that @$$ clown Stern had a lockout was to even out the playing field in the NBA. Stern will be no where to be seen when this goes down or will even consider vetoing this trade.

This crap is all f'ed up. Teams like the Rockets get punished because they refuse to tank.

The Thunder will be the only team to compete against LA, Miami, Brooklyn. But that will only last for a couple more years when they start losing all their free agents to the big markets.

The greed of the owners allowed the greed of the players to overtake the league. I'm sick of it.

Why the hell does everyone still want Dwight on the Rockets?

I would rather have another team get ****ed and we can just rebuild. Having him for a 1-year rental makes me want to go to a game just to throw a hot dog at his sorry ass.

Morey is betting that he will re-sign/extend with houston and not leave money on the table and then rebuild

if he does leave all that money and walks - then we're rebuilding again via "Tanking" cept we'll actually suck and then rebuild via the draft again

basically getting howard and losing him would set back the rebuilding plan by 2 years, but at least we'll have tried to go from mediocre to contender...which is what every team wants ultimately
