Right, but it was football. In basketball the draft doesn't yield talent the way it does in the NBA. The Heat wouldn't trade Lebron james for 10 1st rd picks.

If it's possible, the Rockets should jump in a get Marshon Brooks for a better pick than what is already being offered.

    Hell no!

Just that I figured that is where he was coming from, since he once looked like a 20/10 player.

it was where i was coming from. thanks for the support. But i guess my bad for not realizing that this guy has seriously melted down in the rebound department. haven't watched a lot of Nets basketball the last couple of years, for obvious reasons.

If only Walker had been as good as LBJ.

You get the point. Single players carry much much more value in the NBA then they do in the NFL.

His rebounding took a hit in the 82 game season because of kris humphries and last season he only played in 5 games. Thats unfair to judge him on 5 games after coming back from a major injury.

This is too much. The Nets are getting garbage picks lol.

A lottery protected pick from the Clippers? A surefire playoff team? Picks from the Nets? A team with Deron/Dwight/Wallace/Joe Johnson?

They are basically agreeing to trade Dwight for a max contract Lopez, scrubs and really low draft picks.

Marshon Brooks is worth an unprotected first round pick?

    This is laughable.

It's a PROTECTED 1st round pick. From the Clippers.

I mean you are talking about a team that will be one of the 10 best in the NBA most likely. So basically a pick like Terrance Jones.

Max contract Brook Lopez, Mid 20's Clippers pick, a couple of late 20's (perhaps #30) Nets picks, and they get to keep Hedo on their books instead of making him a part of any Dwight deal. Not bad, Hennigan, not bad at all. SMFH.

No way Orlando can be serious about this.

They're shaving off 6 million from the cap, getting Brook Lopez, and 4 middle-to-late 1st rounders?

For a top 5 NBA player, that is GARBAGE.

Have to see what else comes of this in terms of picks, but it sounds like the Magic will be getting scrub players they intend to get rid of and then a bottom 10 pick for a few years plus a max contract Brooks Lopez.

    Why is this appealing?

I'm sorry Orlando fans... if the deal goes down as is, you guys could have had better.

Seriously. Unless this guy turns out to be a genius in the later part of the draft, he just traded one of the best players in the NBA for mediocre players for years to come.

I know there are tons of people that jerk to the concept of superteams, but nba fans across the nation should be saddened what the league has turned into, right?
This is one of the reasons I stay away from European premier leagues. A couple of teams buy the best talent. Commissar stern's world, we just waste oxygen in it.

Instead of bending over for lady dwight, I would just not make a trade and sit her on the bench.

Orlando the joke is on you. =/
