A farm? We don't live in Mayberry. Go to Whole Foods, have a drink or 4 while shopping and take pics of the girls at the checkout counter with the tats and the armpit hair. Post here.

If you were around the DFW area, I could probably give you some names, but not sure about around Houston. Have you ever bought online? If so, you could try places like http://www.texasgrassfedbeef.com/ . They're located around Paris, Tx. I've actually gone to their farm before - talk about taking some country roads. Good Lord.

Whole foods has it. I actually order my beef online at US Wellness Meats. They send it packed well in a foam cooler. The importance when getting organic meat is to make sure it's grass fed beef. Grass fed beef actually has more omega 3's than wild salmon and grain fed beef has almost none. There is a huge difference.

There are several farmers markets around town if you do some google searching. Not sure how many of them have chicken/beef farmers but you can always contact them to find out.

The urban harvest at highland park on Sunday mornings has a kobe beef farmer. I don't think it's certified organic but they are grass fed and good quality meat -- i think it was $7.50/lb for ground beef.

They all do. I go to the Eastside Farmers Market every Saturday, and they have at least 2 organic meat sellers.

#1 it supports small buisness and ensures local agriculture, which is being over run by large corporations.

#2 A local farm is more likely to have grass fed beef and pasture fed chickens.

    #3 It is fresher.

I am surprised, I would expect a cultured Rice graduate such as yourself would appreciate farm raised meat. Many of the upper crust in Texas purchase beef and poultry from local farms.
