It's just a thought I have. How could the Thunder players play with the Heat players a few weeks after they were beaten for the NBA trophy? I know that playing for Team USA carries the national pride and players should cooperate. But U.S. has many talented players who can still help Team USA win gold. Imagine you just lost a huge competition that you've worked hard your whole career to reach that level, are you willing to say "oh well, there's alway's next year" and be cool with the guys who just beat you and play with them? I'm not saying they should be enemies, but at least keep the rivalry intensity. So these guys are now hanging out and having fun like nothing happened.
Because they are talented professionals who easily put that aside when it comes to uniting under the Star Spangled Banner
Because, dolt, there can only be 1 winner of the NBA title. So are you saying every other player from every other team but the HEAT are gonna carry some animosity against them? Dolt, they know there can only be 1 winner and it surely isnt personal. Dolt.
There are many ways to contribute to the country. Such as doing charitable work. But you're talking playing basketball together. Isn't that like rubbing salt into your new wounds? The Thunder just lost on the biggest NBA competition and Durant even cried. I don't think Team USA needs the Thunder players to win gold.
You are either really stupid or your gimmick is dumb and needs work. IF you are gonna troll atleast troll well enough to not come off obvious at it.
Just because fans hate certain teams, doesn't mean the players do. Most NBA players either like or respect most everyone else. This is just like an all-star game.
That's not what I'm saying. The Thunder just lost the NBA finals. Of course in the NBA every team plays against another team. But a bunch of teams suck so bad that they are not even on the competitive levels with the elite teams. Those sorry teams have players who can help Team USA win gold. Those Thunder guys should feel hurt and not have too much basketball fun with the Heat guys. That's how you improve in anything, really. If you don't have the competitive fire, how can you improve?
What are you going to do? I want you to get offensive. It's just a message board. If you don't like what you read, then don't comment.
Because these are grown professional men who understand this is about representng the country and not carrying on petty girly jealousness. In '92 Jordan and the Bulls just beat Drexler and the Blazers. This didn't stop them from playing together on the original Dream Team. Don't know if your joking, if you are dense, or if you just don't know what being a grown up is about -- whatever it is you are embarrissing yourself.
I will rain down insults that may or may not be pertinent to your current situation, race, social status, or religious belief. Even so, by the end of my tirade you will be offended none the less. Also, I didnt know I did not like what I read in this thread until it was already too late, and that pisses me off.
Becuz all of these cats are friends.... In this NBA there is no such thing as rivalry... I.E. Ray Allen to the Heat most recently
Its just like the original dream team. Some were rivals, but they still played like friends in order to win.
