I suspect it's Henningan Throwing out a "last call" type move to get a reaction from fans, media and opposing GM's.

Absolutely. He's trying to drive up the price for those with actual legitimate bidding power, and I can't blame him.

4 year contract? lol...I think that's a pretty big snag.

    I like our position

"yeah OK, then do it. We will just rebuild"

    Squeeze em!

I believe Magic and Nets are colluding these talks for 2 reasons:

    1. Nets want to string out Dwight trade until tomorrow evening when they have DWill signed and delivered. They don't want him backing out of his commitment if he sees Dwight has gone somewhere else where he can sign.

    2. Orlando is stalling hoping to get Morey to take on more salary, which coincidentally helps the Nets keep DWill on the hook from backing out if there isn't max cap space to possibly sign outright in Houston.

Yeah because DM has been able to strike gold in the middle rounds so far with his lottery picks.

DMo, Royce, and Lamb are all very unknown commoditites that fell to the lower end of the Lottery spectrum. What has DM been able to grab in that area before? Pat, Morris? The Toronto pick is going to be around 11-15 area. Not exactly prime picking for an all star....for the most part.

What that amounts to is a bunch of speculation on middle of the road picks that usually don't amount to much. And Kevin Martin. Yeah, that beats the crap out of a young, up and coming center who has proven his worth so far.

Why do you think the Magic prefer the Nets offer according to all reports? Because its a better offer than the table of scraps that Morey is offering up.

Just saw ric bucher say theres a chance dwight gets traded to nets today and 95% chance he goes by the end fo the week....i smell BULL****

i just hope morey holds on for dear life and wont accept taking back 2 contracts which i think is the only reason orlando is holding out on us so far.. J Rich is more than enough to take back

This whole story is becoming such a pain in the arse it's making me forget how bad the whole Brett Favre retirement saga was.

I hope the Magic trade this SOB to the Nets, just to make this long national nightmare end already...

Ric Bucher is an idiot. Only talks about the big market teams. He was talking about facilitating a 3-team trade with Orlando and L.A. that would send Dwight to the Lakers and Pau to the Magic. We would be sending young players and draft picks to the Magic.

    Get the f*** outta here.

The idea that Lopez is going to end up with Max Dollars is the biggest "hahahaahahaha!" in all of this.

Morris and Pat were hyped up by the Rockets as having star potential after they were drafted. They're still claiming it for Morris, while with Pat the hype is more tempered now.

Forreal. I cant stand him. I hope we get Dwight just for the sake of shocking/pissing off all these scum reporters so they are forced to report about Houston.

#orlandmagic don't expect a deal involving Dwight Howard today. No hurry whatsoever.

Again, if I'm the Magic, I hold out until Dwight expands his options beyond Brooklyn. They can get a bad deal anytime.

Morris yes. I don't think they ever said "star potential" with Pat.

My apologies. I meant Pau was going to Houston, Dwight to L.A, Bynum to Orlando, and young players and picks to Orlando.
