If we don't get Dwight, well let the Nets get better, let the Magic get better, and if the rumors are true that there's possibly 4 teams involved, let the other two teams get better also...better than Toronto.

Marshon Brooks is the Nets' best piece, and he wouldn't even be going to ORL in this rumored package?

Highway robbery is an understatement. If the Nets deal goes down, then I'll just add it to the mounting pile of "coincidences" in the NBA.

It will be funny when media reports of 3 duffel bags being carried by Lopez into the Magic arena.

That's a really tall bag man.

My speculation on where the "hype" is coming from: look at the sources. The two media guys we know Dwight is comfortable with are Rudolph (granted interview immediately after opt-in) and Woj (interview last Sunday). It's clear Dwight, his agent and "team" are most comfortable with them. Perhaps not coincidentally, they seem to be the most forward on the progression of this deal.

On the other hand, the beat writers for the Magic and Nets as well as generally anyone with contacts on the team side of things seems to think it's overblown. It's possible the team sources are holding back until all Ts are crossed. It's also possible that Dwight's folks are trying to create a sense of inevitability to further pressure a 30-year-old rookie GM. Keep in mind that the only thing we know from a timeline perspective is that if it's the Nets, it HAS to happen now. Otherwise, Lopez and Humphries will be off the market and nothing can happen until at least December 15. Dwight and everyone around him knows this, so there's a lot of desperation in these next three days.

It's all just negotiations until the ink is dry.

That owner is filthy rich, he doesn't mind :) let's hope if one day we have or can get two all-stars, Leslie or the new owner is willing to pay the price.

Brooklyn and Dwight are desperate, people. Remember that. If this doesn't happen in the next 48 to 72 hours... it can't happen until at least December 15, and probably never. Not that it can't be true... but there's every reason for "sources" to get silly here.

    Good for Mr. Kardashian. LOL

That's the part I don't get. All these players are just going to sign contracts that fit perfectly for this deal in order to be traded to the team that Brooklyn wants to send them to?

Example, why is Hump interested in going to Cleveland at all?

Hmmmmmmmmm, imagine that. Kris not interested in a one-year deal. Incredible. (didn't someone mention this was going to be a problem some time ago?)

Calling bulls*** on this whole Nets thing.

Sounds like a huge marketing ploy to me.
