https://twitter.com/#!/BQRMagic/nba-orl-magic-media magic media I have a sneaking suspicion Prokhorov 'invested' in some of Amos's Amway lines of businesses. That's the only logical explanation.
From Woj's article. 'For now, Orlando prefers Nets restricted free-agent center Brook Lopez as a centerpiece player over having its pick of the Houston Rockets' roster, sources said.' Ouch.
Jarred Rudolph is possibly the ugliest man on earth. Good LORD look at that man. Thats a face only a blind mother can love. Imagine what his breath smells like? If he died tomorrow they gonna force a closed casket!
Dwight to nets trade on te verge of happening http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/222167/Nets_Magic_Cavaliers_Close_To_Dwight_Howard_Trade
Talent wise, I can buy that. But lopez is about to make 10 million dollars a year in free agency, while the Rockets have plenty of high upside players on rookie deals. If you are blowing it up and rebuilding, why on earth would you want to take a non-star that makes that kind of money? Also, Cleveland is dumber than a box of rocks if this deal happens. Good job helping to create a second super team in your own conference by taking on a mediocre power forward.
All that means is Lopez is better than any player we have which is true, but the draft picks we could send back to Orlando are far better than what the Nets can offer. Question is do they value a maxed out Lopez over that?
If it is, Morey needs to stop jacking around by haggling over certain pieces and basically let Hennigan name his terms.
The problem could be Morey is trying to be cute and hold certain pieces out of the deal. This is not a deal he needs to worry about winning "value wise." Quite frankly, he can pretty much let Hennigan name his terms and the Rockets still win.
I said it before - the Magic's new GM just turned 30 YEARS OLD(!) - do you understand how his view of long and short term gains could be skewered?
thank god. i do not want d howard on this team. i hope the rockets get at least one great player in next years draft. and trade scola and martin for something a pick a few years down the line. this team will be very set up for the future and will be players that the rockets actually drafted.
He still needs to keep some talent so Dwight would have teammates. My guess is magic don't care for Kevin martins expiring contract as it's probably needed in any deal
I feel this way also... but i thinks its not so much players as it is cap flexibility... im startin to think its comin down to otlando wanting to drop 2 or 3 bad contracts while rockets prefer one maybe two most... we all know moreys willingness to part with players, and his love for flexibility... remember if he guts alot of roster and uses a lot of space for bad contracts he wont be able to entice a trade for a robin ala jsmoov... plus he wont have the cap space for another big acquisition thru 2013 FA ala cp3... Im saying go balls out to make trade but it reality not tooo extreme were you become the magic of the west and ruins your chance at resigning him...
I'm trying not to be irrationally in disbelief here, but surely this trade can't be real? Orlando isn't really that stupid are they(or Cleveland for that matter)?
Nets GM Billy King is flying to Vegas Monday morning to watch Deron Williams w/ Team USA. No Dwight Howard deal imminent, still work to do.
