I think people have their serious doubts about Brooks after his injury and absense from the league. I would think teams sees him as a washed up player instead of the Brooks we knew from 2010. Either way he will get a super lowball offer from Morey ironically, and will be forced to take it because his options are limited at this point.
Eh, it's not as if it was a career-altering injury. It was an ankle sprain. And his "absence" from the league is understandable, given the lockout and China contract issues. All said, it has been 2+ years since Brooks played at a starter-quality level in the NBA, so I hope you're right and Morey picks him up at a discount. But I wouldn't be surprised if a savvy owner/GM (Cuban) notes the unique circumstances over his past two years and realizes his value.

I'd be happy to have Brooks back. He can't defend worth a lick but it's better than the remaining options.
Signs seem to point to Brooks getting a contract with Houston. Still might not happen, but my hunch is that he ends up here. Had anyone asked me at any time over the last year if AB would be playing for the Rocks this season, I would have laughed and laughed, and replied, "Are you kidding?" What a trip. Oddly enough, I almost welcome it. He's a known quantity, and he beats the hell out of the scrubs currently on the team.
What kind of senseless dribble is this? Washed up at 27 years old? The guy was INJURED in his last year in the NBA and had a great year in China playing PG. He will put up terrific numbers in the right type of system, and with Dirk he would get a lot of spacing. AB is a top 10-15 pg in the NBA, same as Lowry - washed up....dear lord.
Be awesome if he comes back averaging 18 as the vet pg on a terrible team and we trade him for a 1st.
They just drafted Damian Lillard, the top ranked point guard in the draft, and they have others on the roster that can play minutes at the spot. I seriously doubt that they want AB now.

How sad....embarrasing....and low have my beloved Rockets sunk. Wow...just wow. Well Brook will finally have what he wanted or needed in Houston the first go around. Not have a center to have to learn how to throw and entry pass to, and no one else on the team to pass it to so he can shoot all the time.
