It seems that everyone is on edge with the way the off season is panning out. This summer more than ever we are seeing all kinds (types) of posters commenting or creating threads. In the name of some light hearted humor and fun, I wanted to document the types of posters I came across over the years. Feel free to add your own description or assign a user to the following roles. Have fun with it =)

“God?!” Poster(s) - Besides the obvious powers of admin, usually these posters would have access to Rockets personnel, as well as offer the most balanced insight on rockets news. Without a second thought, these posters will lay the smack down when angered, thus locking threads or posting creative photo shopped images of posters deserving ridicule.

“Big Bang Theory” Poster(s) – These posters have offer the most insight onto the inner working of deals, contracts, and or salary cap information. They offer the forums with detailed knowledge and are invaluable in face palming preposterous trade posters (see later) that are commonly found around here.

“In too Deep” Poster(s) – These posters have connections with sources either inside the Rockets organization or another organization and are gracious enough to share their Intel either through cryptic messages or just flat out “spill the beans” style. However, just as they are revered when their Intel is accurate, the opposite is true as they take a beating from “Anderson Varejao” posters. (see later)

“You Like Apples… how do you like these apples” Poster(s) – Similar to Matt Damon character in Good Will Hunting, this is where I classify most of the well respected posters here on the forums. They offer insightful comments, answer questions, and frankly are AWESOME rockets fans. Love to get a suite (if you aren’t a rowdy already) and go to the games with you guys. Side note, they are often the ones clowning the “Anderson Varejao” posters, looove it.

“Creeper Poster”(s) – Like hiding in bushes and in trees, these posters only pop out when a thread is worth commenting on. Most of these posters are registered from the 90’s glory days, are in general just here to read the latest news.

“Instagram” Poster(s) – If pictures represent a thousand words… these posters choose pictures instead of words to express their opinion. You will often see “infamous” morey picture when things are going well… or hilarious photoshopped images.

“King Joffrey” Poster(s) – These posters are arrogant, stubborn, and have an air of entitlement when they post. Whether they post 50 times a day or 1… they always manage to piss someone off with their comments, and/or throws child tantrums when put in their place.

“Anderson Varejao” Posters – Similar to the King Joffrey posters, these posters are loathed on the forums. The posters are fakers, flip floppers, and hypocrites. There seemed to be an infestation of these posters on the board this summer, whether they are taking both sides on Morey (Obamafan yes I’m talking to you =) ), or potential trades. These fans are like the pitch fork holding mob that favor whatever camp is gaining momentum in a debate. (Hah I actually googled worst flip flopper and Varejao takes top honors on most lists)

“Preposterous Trade” Poster(s) – (Heh it was too hard to mimic the real men of genious bud commercials) These are my favorite. Whether its ignorance or just straight up homerism… they always think of Rocket’s best interest (really can’t fault them). Lets trade our 18th pick not the 12th or 16th mind you… and trade that to get Dwight Howard!! Yeaaaaa… who’s with meeeee?... guysz???

“Cool Story Braaaah” Poster(s) – These posters have actual run ins with our beloved Rockets and share their stories with us. Paul… your story was awesome! Except it seems every player you partied with is now gone minus Parsons… The season ticket holder that Morey called was pretty cool too. These kind of threads seem to bring out the “braaaaah” posters from underneath their shell lol.

I’m sure there are more, but these will do from me for now. Feel free to add more or edit description :p

Um, I feel like I don't fit into any one of your categories, OP...

Also, what does this have to do with the GARM? This should be moved to the Hangout.

Don't forget those posters who feel the need to make a thread every time a Free Agent is available.

"Hey guys. Clarence Weatherspoon is available. You guys interested?

Dragic/Lowry
Martin/Lee
Parsons/Morris
Scola/Patterson
Camby/Weatherspoon

get'r done maury:cool:"

The "I'm always right posters". They think everything thing they pull out of their is correct and will use sayings like "It isn't my job to that" when proven wrong.

"IBTL Posters" - Love boosting their post count in the most economical way possible, regardless of whether it actually applies to the thread or not (minimal keystrokes required, capitalization optional).

HMMMM... maybe those are hyper fan posters and chat room chatter posters.

Whole new category of "game time action posters"??

they can spell and type 45 to 90 words per minute and need to be faster than a cell phone + more people can see their words than a 5,000 (3-way) cell phone call.. LOL

this is fun...:p

Haha if so, I don't mind clutch moving it. I see several threads about rocket fans are (fill in the blank) that I thought this would be the right forum.

LOL forgot about the YOF and IB4TL posters :p

Since I'm one of those "better to keep one's mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt" guys, I probably fit as a Creeper Poster...and that sucks, given the name.
