Scratch that. Amber alerts aren't for runaways. U need to ask a friend of hers to analyze her Facebook page for clues.
Have you figured out why she left? For young teens its usually not being happy with restrictions, so the general assumption is she left to get away from your parents rules, but is there a guy involved? I have a younger sister about the same age...think about any recent changes in behavior, especially with her phone and appearance...too much attention to both probably mean she's interested in a guy and possibly has a bf... It's summer, but you could try going to her school an asking her teachers about her friends and possibly bf, then askt he school for their contact info. Shouldn't cricket give you total access because of her age? i dont think she's old enough to have her own acct
I know Sprint has a family locator program As for facebook - If you can access the computer she accessed their is a good chance her password is saved on it and it will go directly into the page. Rocket River
Cricket will simply not help out, im not sure if that's just how they all operate or just the ones we've been to. The phone is not paid by her but by my parents . Also to the person who suggested filing an amber alert, we have called a local news station channel 45 Univision, i guess that could be the next best thing. Other details that i can add is that she had just finished a 180 day stint in C.E.P, for those who who dont know that's just a school for "bad kids". She was sent there because of her biggest flaw, always being a follower and trying to please her friends . I see that many keep suggesting about the possibility of her taking off with the boyfriend , its just that i dont know IF she does have one . Once again this falls back to people being questioned that are afraid to talk. Now im not trying to play the "internet tough guy" card but i believe that it also has something to do with them knowing some things about me.
Try logging into the account manager on their website to see if they list the usage details on there, you could at least see who she is communicating with. If you don't have an account set up already you should be able to register pretty easily. https://account.mycricket.com/
Yup sprints family locator thing works great. Dunno if crickets got something similar to that though. The logging into her fb suggestion is a very good one as well
Any luck with figuring out what clothes she took and how much? Maybe she went on a trip for the weekend with friends, since it's summer, took off maybe bc she wasn't going to get permission? Go give Cricket hell. Its your parents account not hers, so they have control over it. If you don't get a good legal explanation, threaten to call the news station.
Call this number 1-866-217-5787 and tell them that the phone was stolen by your sister. If you dont want to get her in trouble just tell them that you misplaced the phone and are trying to locate it. It puts it into a different category sithout regards to privacy since the phone is owned by your parents. As long as you maintain that you are simply trying to recover the item they will have to do something.
This is like my last option , i've ran into some bad news, i just learned that although my parents do in fact pay the bill, that the account is under her name. Next , a missing person case has been issued but there are no supervisors to look at the case till monday . After this ordeal is settled ,we will all most definitely switch cell phone companies.
I would keep pushing Cricket...she's, what, 14? At some point someone else (parents?) signed her up or with her. Unless she did the whole thing herself, in which case, they have some explaining to do and should turn it over to the parents. I can't imagine they can legally protect a 14 year old's account from her parents, can they?
Theres no way they could do that. You cant sign any kind of contract as a minor. The account may be in her name but she might not have legal control over it.
My first thoughts is that she found some dude on the internet, and ran off with him. But, sounds like she has a boyfriend.
This. Had a friend of mine who hooked up with like 5 or 6 runaway girls the first year he got an aol acct. All were 14 or 15 and had problems with their parents.
It seems like im not getting anywhere with police help and trying to go about this the civil way. Things are probably not going to end pretty for someone.
This is good advice. Reddit people can find ANYONE, it is a bit scary sometimes, but in this case it's a really helpful quality to have.
Does she have any money? If she didn't bring a lot then she is most likely staying with someone. I'm sure u went around ur neighborhood store and ask if they see her?
This is a bit embarrassing but i struggled to even post on here, is there any possibility that someone might be able to do it for me?
At most $20, sadly i live in an area where giving out information, a.k.a "snitching" as these kids call it now a days is frown upon or seen as uncool.
