HI there everyone. My name is Audrey and I am Rhien's sister. I have read through the "news" thread about my brother's passing and it had me in tears how many people posted and shared their condolances. It is greatly appreciated. I am in need of your assistance, if it is at all available. My brother's facebook page has been "expired" because no one has logged into his account in just under a year. No one knows what the password could be, because he changed his passwords frequently. I have attempted a password reset, but can't get into his email address because his secret question is "what is your favorite book" and anyone who knew my brother knew he wasn't huge on reading. I am completely blown away by this question and can't figure out what in the world it could be. If any of you, in all your conversations, recall him mentioning any book that he read or really liked it would be very helpful.

Another thing I would like to ask is for any of you to share any memories of my brother. His death was extremely difficult on the entire family, but most so for his wife and four girls. From what I can tell, these boards were like a family to him, and I would love to learn more about my brother. If there are any links to his profile, what he wrote, etc. I am just trying to put all the pieces together now that my grief is not so overwhelming that I can't function.

    Thank you all in advance,
    Audrey

PS. If you don't want to share information on this board, please feel free to do so at audness23@hotmail.com

Audrey, again I am sorry for your loss. We all miss LL around here. Sometimes I see his posts in old threads and hate it all over again. I hope your family heals soon.

Thank you so much. It gets easier and harder with every day that passes. I was able to go through one of his old threads about how he hated ohio and it had me laughing so hard because I could just hear him saying the things he wrote about how Ohio sucks LOL. Thank you for your kind words :)

These are the books he mentioned having read that I could find but honestly I would try the Bible. He seemed to enjoy debating it. I'm sorry for your loss.

I have tried the Bible, which didn't work. I will try your other recommendations. Thank you so much!

First of all, thanks for coming here. To know that the BBS was so much a part of his life that it brought you here is heartwarming. Unfortunately, I don't have any idea what the answer to the book question might be. But I'm sure we could come up with a clue if we went through his posting history, or perhaps some of the posters who knew him better could assist.

As for personal experiences, he and I argued a fair bit (something we both were wont to do on here for years). But towards the end of his life, he went through something so very similar to what I and many posters here have faced themselves. We shared our experiences and tried to commiserate and be supportive. The fact that some of us so strongly identified with his personal struggle made hearing of his death that much more painful. I honestly felt like I let him down, and I regret not reaching out beyond the BBS to help him.

I hope everyone close to Rhien is finding peace now, especially yourself. I'm glad to know our relationship with him has helped you find some comfort. We miss his presence on the BBS, but probably to only a fraction of a degree to what his wife, children, and family have felt.

Thank you for your post. He was very good at arguing, or rather, debating. He was the type of person that if he felt very strongly on a subject he would never back down and was always quick witted and thorough with his responses. I remember telling him once that I wasn't registered to vote and HOLY HELL did I get a full out lesson on why I should be and why politics mattered LOL.

I suppose if I had access to any of his posts or old threads I would be able to go through them and perhaps put more of the pieces together. Hopefully I will be able to do that soon.
Thanks again for your post, it really warmed my heart. Thank you.

    Hi Audrey,

I'm not good with words so I'll just say that it was a big shock for all of us when it happened and he is definitely missed. I hope he found the peace he was looking for and especially I hope his wife, children, and the rest of the family are able to find peace.
As for his posts, you can go up at the top there is a Search button. Then go to Advanced Search. Then Search by User Name.

you can do a search on google.. something like this:

    'clutchfans site: landlord landry'

It seemed to show a good fair bit of his posts. I think that's the way or it might be' landlord landry: clutchfans site'
    along those lines...

    Have you tried asking facebook?

I remember him.. I didn't realize he had 4 children.. Maybe you didn't register to vote but geez..4 kids? wow.. terrible story RIP

possible. Says the last time he updated the answer to the question was August 2009. I don't remember if he had a facebook three years ago? I will try that answer when I can, which will be in 12 hours. I have been locked out of trying to get into his email because I have tried too many answers. ha =/

Facebook definitely sounds like an answer he would have given. I will give it a try. thanks!

Thank you. I have googled, and the search function on this site has helped a lot too. I am just trying to get his facebook page back up because so many people still write on his wall every day. It is like his memorial, and all the pictures are there and his last post.

Maybe one of the books within the bible. Like the Gospel of Mark.

LL was a good man. Condolences.

are you able to talk to us about it all? Very touching stuff. As an outsider curious to know more about how and why..

This site could be good therapy for you... well except for the part about the rockets and everyone being negative around that.

The how is already known, the why is apparent, but I am still struggling to believe it.

If you're going to use Google to search then the proper format would be

    "Landlord Landry" site:clutchfans.net

Of course that will show all posts with the name Landlord Landry in it, including ones where people only mention him. If you only want to see the ones he himself posted, the Search function at the top is the better way.

Really sorry for your loss. If I were you, I'd forget about the facebook and email thing. When I die, I don't want anyone else in my email account and he probably felt the same way which is why he probably chose some obscure book title for this secret question.

Seems like he posted a lot on this bbs, he had email and facebook, but the real man isn't what he did and said online, so I wouldn't take anything he said online too seriously because I don't think many of us are our true selves on the Internet. The things he did and memories he left behind in real life are what matter.
