Nice read. Not so sure Lamb had anything to do with Gordon not wanting Houston. I'm thinking Daryl didn't offer enough money ( if he made an offer at all) and probably didn't make EG feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I'm sure the Suns broke out the thundersticks like they did with Gogi.

    HOLY ****. PLAYERS HAVE FEELINGS?

TREATING THEM LIKE ASSETS MAKES THEM MAD?

THEY LIKE IT WHEN THE TEAMS ARE NICE TO THEM AND DONT TREAT THEM AS REPLACABLE COGS IN A MACHINE?

What a baby... man up and instead of being "offended" by the team drafting a guy in your position show them who's the better player at that spot...

Yada, yada, yada. NO is just going to match it. End of story.

Some franchises just get it. It seems more and more like the Rockets are not one of those franchises.

easy thing to say and it sounds good but it's not that simple. "just outplay the other guy." the reality is what if he outplays rivers but it's close. what if the mandate is to tank. what if they decide to trade you. often times it's a subjective thing too and it's far easier to say just outplay the guy. look at jeremy lin. he outplayed flynn and we sent him packing.

also, let's say Rivers does become a good player. didn't you guys see what happened to us with Lowry and Dragic. It was a mess and now we have neither. Again, it's really easy to play armchair qb and say outplay the guy. The reality is it's far more subjective and complicated than that.

This is a whole bunch of nothing, NO will match and PHX will lose rights to negotiate a contract for him.

He could actually end up here, if nothing else we could offer them Kmart (who NO like previously)+one of the PFs for him in a sign and trade. If NO doesn't want to lose EG for nothing then they can trade him to us for an expiring and a PF prospect.

A Sg combo of EG and then Lamb coming off the bench would be downright nasty.
