I'm not saying that those aren't the most marketable places, I am saying however that just because the rockets haven't signed any big time FA's recently that doesn't mean that Houston shouldn't be considered a good market.

It's the 4th Largest City in the US, not to mention all of the stock market involvement from here. The bottom line is that players want to play somewhere they can win. No one would want to play in OKC if it wasn't for Durant, even Dwight Howard wouldn't have wanted to go to New Jersey/Brooklyn if Deron Williams hadn't been there.

I just think it's odd that only in basketball is Houston not considered a big market, in the NFL it doesn't even come into play considering we're good. It's no coincidence that when Yao Ming was here a lot more players wanted to be in Houston than now....You gotta "just win baby"

Guys, you're making a big deal out of nothing. This trade will be vetoed for basketball reasons. I mean, it has to be, right? Stern's a fair and consistent guy. How does Paul to LA get axed, while Howard to LA goes through?

At least we can finally and completely move on. There aren't anymore stars available that we can pretend we have a shot at landing and keeping.

Time to fully commit to rebuilding.

The Lakers and other teams remained in talks with the Magic for Dwight Howard today, but a trade is not imminent, league sources say.

Man if he goes to the Lakers then you just might as well shut down the league or make it a 4 team league and get it over with. This is getting beyond ridiculous. So the trade that Stern vetoed last off season actually worked out even better for the Lakers in the long run.

Was told half an hour ago by source with direct knowledge of talks that there is no imminent deal for Dwight Howard. FWIW.

This is a different CBA and a different set of rules.

I'm hearing the same buzz as everyone else about an imminent Dwight deal. Haven't been able to verify any of it. My sources are all asleep.

If the Lakers are willing to part with Bynum in a trade for Dwight Howard, then a trade is all but sealed.

Neither the Nets, nor Rocket, or any other team going after Dwight for that matter, has the type of asset that the Lakers have with Andrew Bynum.

Dwight Howard has been traded probably at least 10 times the last few weeks by reporters/sources etc etc. I've lost interest I'll hear it when I hear it.
