the dynasty is the big 3 though...they lucked out that ray hates rondo and was willing to take half the money and prob half the playing time. thats literally lucking out, they have no money to add anyone unless they do take less money. thats why you see guys like juwan howard on the heat... more annoying then people being upset allen went to the heat, espn talking idiots saying: well give the heat the championship next year i mean really? already?
Go to 8:00 minute mark to see Pat Riley's recruiting methods LOL <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/DHM7qDYhODM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
He had a bad sprained ankle. Ankle's heal. It's not like it was a knee or something like Grant Hill's ankle.
On Miami he can. All they would need him to do is play defense and rebound. 20 min per game is all they would need.
Over the next couple of years they are going to continue to get free agents and once the mike miller contract is gone they will have more freedom to sign more players. The Heat dynasty is a process. Riley has a plan, he has presentations, they have long term goals here. This is why they didn't get too upset over the Dallas loss. It was year 1 in a very long term process.
nba players, just like us, can choose who they want to work for. everyone who hates ray allen for joining the heat is just MAD.
Rather ride Lebron for another ring than get it "on his own" in Boston. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em...right Ray?
i dont think pat rileys plan was to build a team slowly. it was win right now..which they have and will be in contention every year, if not win it. i just dont buy your argument its just the beginning.."once the mike miller contract is gone" so pat rileys plan was to sign mike miller to a silly contract from the get go? the big 3 take up most of their cap space, always will be that way. hence they have to plug and fill for their bench. like i said, ray allen fell into their lap, all the right circumstances occured, 1. he was willing to take a lot less money 2. he was willing to play less time and 3. apparently he wasnt a fan of rondo. other then that how hard is it to convince someone to play in miami. its freaking miami who wouldnt want to live there? i guess more than anything that annoys me is the media slurping pat riley for being able to sell and present players to come. it cant be that hard..
I guess we're different. Yes, I would hate Kyle Lowry even if he got traded to the Mavs or Jazz. There's a lasting impression that the organizations have left on me to the point where I don't care who is playing for them. I hate them. I don't want them getting rings. The city of Salt Lake ... City ... has helped me maintain the hate for that organization. It's not like we are wishing them death by war, we are just passionate for competition. I don't think anyone is right or wrong here, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If people hate players because they join a team to chase a ring, it's not far-fetched to understand their point of view. Definitely not something to justify calling them an idiot. But I guess that's just my opinion.
