With play making wings like Chandler Parsons and Royce White, A score first PG is maybe what we need.
Perfect type of signing for Morey. I'd give him a 2 year contract maybe 2-3 mil a year with the 2nd year a team option. Bayless is young enough that he has potential to get a lot better. I see 3 possible outcomes: 1) he plays awesome and rockets keep him for 2 years, 2) he puts a great numbers on a poor Rockets team and Rockets trade him at deadline for better assets, or 3) he is terrible next season and Rockets don't pick up his option for the 2nd season.
no thanks. another mediocre dude. if morey thinks he'd fit, he would've got him instead of Forbes. NEXT.
I was looking to guess who might have interest and I think he will have many teams looking -- Dallas Milwaukee Chicago LAL Miami ??
He's the kind of guy to sharply increase in value like Brooks, Lowry, and Dragic. There may be salary reasons behind why he wouldn't have been included in the deal, which mind you would require him agreeing to a contract.
Bayless is another guy that had no business being one and done. The worst thing about his career is he basically did nothing by going pro because he was at the end of the bench in Portland all those years. Its better to be on the floor in college getting game expierence in my opinion.
We're gonna be getting Duhon back with Dwight. So, Duhon, Machado....need a starter. Wonder what it would take to pry Collison off the Pacers? Nice small salary. Good Pick-n-Roll point.
Draft experts if I remember correctly held him up in the same regards as Westbrook. Plus he's shown he can play well when he starts, he's done it in Portland. I'll give him 5 million a year if we had to just to get him.

He's no Lowery/Dragic, but he seems to be maturing into a decent player and he's only 23....if we are rebuilding, a young playere like this would be worth a shot.
Toronto played him at SG for a reason. He's a player that can't play PG cause he can't run a team. I remember one time against the Raptors he was trying to bully around Lowry playing real dirty. I even recall him flopping to get Lowry a foul when he ran across the baseline. After that game I hated the guy and do not want him on the team. He sucks. Dirty, cheap player that's NOT a real PG.
This is mildly interesting. John Hollinger rates him as top ex-Arizona Wildcat based on PER-- Jerryd Bayless 17.80 (70th in league) Andre Iguodala’s 17.59 Jason Terry 15.80 Jordan Hill 15.80 Channing Frye 14.92 Chase Budinger 14.92 Derrick Williams 12.98 Richard Jefferson 11.15 Mike Bibby 7.82 http://tucsoncitizen.com/wildabouta...-in-nba-according-to-hollingers-espn-ratings/
He played the vast majority of his minutes at PG, and when he did, he outplayed the other teams PG. When he was the SG (and that was playing with Calderon like Lowry/Dragic did at times for us), he was badly outplayed. He can't defend SG due to his size.
I like him on a cheap long term deal (4 years 8-10 mil total with team option on year 4). Like what he did as a starter and we don't currently have one at PG. If the plan is Dwight then you need shooters around him (Bayless 42% from 3 last year). I liked the 4th quarter offense Orlando ran getting to the finals 3 years ago with Turk running the offense.
More from Hollinger on Bayless http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/story?page=PERDiem-120402&_slug_=nba-crop-possible-value-free-agents&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fnba%2fstory%3fpage%3dPERDiem-120402%26_slug_%3dnba-crop-possible-value-free-agents
I remember watching him play against UH .....somebody's going to get a steal here ...As other have mentioned, he came out early, only to get splinters in his butt with Portland....Jerryd has matured and at the tender age of 23 is going to start to live up to his basketball blood lines on a consistent basis. The deal with Bayless is that he's more of a scorer..a hybrid 1/2 .He can dish, but put the ball in his hands and let him go to work...pure speed on the wing. And he obviously has the J too. This guy will be a closer in this league for a long time. Plus ......Bayless plays D. THIS, is a player I would like to see the Rockets go after....fairly inexpensive, relative to his upside and established floor. Jerryd has more than a little Mad Max in him.
