“Lakers no longer demanding contract assurances from Dwight Howard in trade talks, reportedly http://dlvr.it/1pr8ff” bad news for Nets

If this means they'll now include Bynum, it is what I thought when the Nash deal went down: The Lakers are going to be confident that they can get Dwight to stay with elite talent around him. Or, at the very least, since they are already gambling on Nash holding up in his old age, they might as well take a shot at Dwight.

In a way, I am glad: The Rockets won't engage in a one season fling with Dwight Howard and get left destitute, pregnant, and with STD.

Kobe has no excuses not to win with Nash and Howard. Where are all those bashing the Heat trio? Kobe is calling in all the big guns.

Being in his 17th year and past his prime is kind of a good reason. We don't even know what caliber of player he will be next year.

Right, like Kobe's 25 years old and Nash 26.
LeBron nuthuggers are ridiculously good at finding excuses.

It doesn't matter who they get or how old they are. Nobody is beating the Miami heat for the next 3-5 years. NOBODY.

I hope they suck. I hate the Lakers and their obnoxious fans. Same goes for the Heat and their LBJ nut-hugging, fair-weather Heat fans.

OKC would still be the favorite, if all the Lakers manage to do is sign Nash. If they can somehow get Howard, then without a doubt they are the favorites in the west. A dream finals matchup of La Lakers and Miami could happen

yes, i too am in before lock the.

You don't get the point. What would you feel if KB joined KG and Pierce when he's 25. I wouldn't root for a team like that. But Nash at 38? Come on, LeBron nuthuggers are really scared girls.

So you really think the Heat are a lock to win 4-6 championships in a row? Even if Brooklyn or the Lakers get Howard? And you think the Thunder stand no chance?

Hah. All I said was that LBJ was the best player in the NBA and once he had talent around him he'd win multiple titles (I believe I said he'd win at least four in the next six years). Well, in the first year he got to the Finals and in the second he won. It's not like this is some brilliant prediction unless you are just a LeBron hater. What he did with the crappy Cavs was incredible so pairing him actual NBA players of course is going to lead to titles.

....And you defended LBJ like he was your wife. I never said being a fanboy was a bad thing, in fact I enjoyed your past battles against goodbug. Keep up the good work

My "defense" of LBJ was just posting his numbers and pointing out the fact that his teams basically sucked without him (eg, records when he sat and the records before and after he was on the team). It's just that there is so much hatred for the guy that douchebags like goodbug want to make up stuff to make LeBron look bad (as if what he does off the court makes any difference to his game). All he needed was some talent around him, just like any other player in NBA history. Then he would win. And he has. And he will. I'm sorry some people can't handle it. I'm not even a huge LeBron fan, but I'm not stupid enough to think he's not the best player in the NBA by far.
