LOL not true bud...you think there's a waiting list for the hot rocket tickets?

They'll keep calling your ass all year long...first trying to get you renew and once the season starts to buy mini-plans

If I could afford season tickets every year I would regardless of how bad we are at least we have a team unlike Seattle

It's not tanking if we are developing our young talent. That's called being intelligent.

    tanking = "developing" young talent.

I consider tanking purposely trying to be uncompetitive to gain a better draft pick. That's not the same as playing young talent so that they grow and improve your team with an eye towards being more competitive. I just see it differently.

Maybe it's a distinction without a difference, but that's how I see it.

Didn't we develop dragic? he's gone. didn't we develop lowry? he's gone.

Kevin martin was an allstar before he got here, but he was scrubbed last year.

Our development model is ashe backwards and I blame the coaching.

I remember attending a spurs game last season around february, and I remember scratching my head watching scola sit out the whole fourth quarter wondering why wouldn't the coach put him in the game.

I been a season ticket holder the last 2 years but didn't renew this year because I figured the Rockets were probably going to suck. Me and my dad just decided to buy tickets on Flash seats because at the end of last year we noticed that tickets on Flash seats were way cheaper then the price per game of our season tickets. I expect this year to be a lot cheaper then season tickets. We bought tickets last year right behind the goal for $15 each. Silverstone section had tickets for $50.

My opinion is if you don't need your money (i.e. have disposable income) and want to watch a young team develop with no real chance at the moment of making the playoffs...then by all means renew or acquire season tickets. You can even call in to complain and speak with Morey himself to understand better what it is the Rockets are doing! lol

Seems like it would be a good time to acquire season tickets to get decent seats should we compete in the future for a championship.

Personally, I wouldn't pay for season tickets to watch this team now...when they are just making moves left and right with an obvious intention to improve only down the road. There is no miracle cure here. Why should I pay top dollar to watch a bunch of kids try to figure out the game? They should discount the hell out of those seats if that's the case.

Maybe the strategy is to both tank AND get Dwight? That is:

    1. We trade our best assets for Dwight, leaving the roster bare.
    2. We tell Dwight to shut it down for the season to fully rehabilitate his back, just like the Spurs did with Robinson the season before they won the lottery and drafted Duncan.
    3. We win the lottery and draft Shabazz Mohammad.
    4. We resign Dwight and still have cap room to sign next summer's big name free agent, CP3.
    5. We form the new "Big 3" of CP3, Shabazz and Dwight. Plus we hopefully still have DMo and White.

Oh I get it...depress the value now so that the true lovers of the game will buy now to inflate later when the bandwagon joins.

Only problem with that scenario is the assumption that there's a big name player to get at the trade deadline. (e.g. Howard)

It seems to me that we are only giving lip service in the Dwight Howard. (e.g. only thing we have are expiring contracts of players who are playing below their value) sweepstakes.

This scenario contains too many "what-ifs". It's like "what if" we win the lottery? It's like "what if" we were to trade for D-Howard and then tank some more with intentions to resign and continue rebuilding.

See that's the problem, you are continually rebuilding and losing and never gaining ground.

Meanwhile where is the accountability of the coaching staff. They need to demonstrate an ability to win with what they have to avoid "breaking it, to rebuild it". IMO

true fans are there win or lose. that's the human part of the game. dramas are fun whether you like it or not. being a fan is like marriage. it's not always honeymoon.

you guys whine but the past 3 years, rockets aren't in playoffs but still, here you are caring about what they do. everyday. in your hearts you love the rockets no matter what. you're just pissed cause of the uncertainty. you won't be in this site if you're not a fan of the rockets. so stop being dwighthowards. I know you love the rockets win or lose.

At what point do you begin to hold the coaching staff accountable?

I guess now is the time to hold the coaching staff accountable since everyone from the Rick Adelman era is out except the franchise player, Scola.

It's on Mcgale to at least get these players to a spot where they are fighting for a playoff spot come April.

But "what if" is the entire lure of tanking. "What if" is the lure of the powerball, and why millions of people stand in line to spend their money on a one in a billion chance. "What if" we are like New Orleans, with a 13.7% chance of winning the lottery, and win?

At some point the coaching staff has to get down to x's and o's to turn potential into winning.

You can't win with a rebuilding attitude because remember didn't adelman have us in the 09 western conference finals just three years ago.

The lakers team from 09 hasn't changed much but look where we are in 2012
