Personally I'd rather smaller rosters of 12 guys who can get more minutes, rather than 17 players roaming in and out. Though you don't want any injuries so gotta have some depth. Also they play a lot of games on consecutive days, so it can really wear out some guys lol.
Feigan mentioned PPat and Parsons will be there with the team, but not necessarily play (much)! I think it's good to have a couple of guys been there done that to guide the rookies and invites.
I think Feigen mentioned something about PPat being our starting center until further notice. Also wrote that the team plans on keeping Motie at power forward.
I think this was Givoney trying his best to think up the SL rosters. Barring trades, I would think both Greg Smith and Jon Leuer would be the Rockets' centers on their SL roster.
Jai Lucas wasn't even good in college. That's purely a favor to his dad. But hey, apparently the team is all about the lesser talented younger brothers of NBA point guards! John Lucas III is a free agent, maybe we'll bring him back?
I like seeing Parsons/Patterson in there. Helps acclimate everybody and gets them used to playing together.
Also recall that Patterson is coming off of surgery, so they may just want him to get some game action to speed up the recovery.
The Rockets are going to be the first team in NBA history to have the same starting lineup for both Summer League and the NBA season opener.
going to be fun watching Zoran.. plays 100mph just like Goran.. same moves.. watched him on the SLO team
According the the article all 60 games will be televise on NBAtv: http://www.nba.com/news/2012-summer-league-schedule/index.html
he has bulked up a lot, so i think he'll be able to play some center. at least i hope so, since he'll probably be playing quite a bit of it
