Losing Tracy McGrady was not a monumental event dude. He sucked when we lost him and worst, his salary was the highest in the league. The perception that it was a big deal was that he has so many devoted fans that it just shocked them. they believe he's somehow going to just lace up his shoes and his health problems will go away and he'll score a bunch of points and they will be happy again. This is nothing like LeBron leaving Cleveland. He didn't have to go, he chose to go. Tracy HAD TO GO.
This thread is laughable. This is why teams with fan bases like we have are happy with "two" rings in the last 20 years accept mediocrity as the status quo. Yea,7 teams have won since our "two". But if you love winning, you say that "WE SHOULD BE ONE OF THE SEVEN BECAUSE OUR ORGANIZATION HAS A CULTURE OF WINNING CHAMPIONSHIPS AND ANYTHING LESS IS UNACCEPTABLE." The point is to WIN. Not accumulate draft picks. Not tell the fans we are getting in some mysterious, magical position that will allow us to win some day. This mentality is why we are like we are. If fans rise up and get on talk radio and get loud enough, organizations listen. Ridiculous.
yes its me, and i would like to trade you to the seattle supersonics board for...um wait, thats right they dont have a team at least i have a team to cheer for
Amen brotha! People think Rick Smiths and Kubiaks job wasnt on the line when they went radical and hired Wade Phillips and completely overhauled the team. When in fact the Texans crowd was twice as bad as the Rockets crowd at this time before last years playoff run.
i understand all that, but guess what, it hasnt happen, now let me ask you, are you gonna stop watchin rockets games becuz of it???
granted...but it also would take the fun, ridicule out of everything that is on the web y so serious?
What are we spoiled about? We haven't done anything since '95. That's almost 20 years. The team hasn't even had a chance in about 5 years. By the way, ticket sales and concessions along with viewership from tv commercials pays the players. I guess it's safe to say that we do pay them.
Hakeem is teaching the entire NBA how to play the post now. Clutch City will always been mentioned!
LOL. Blindly supporting a team is just as bad as not supporting them at all. Delusional fans vs. Fairweather fans.
I'm just saying, we shouldn't be ostracized for complaining -- as long as they are reasonable complaints.
Telling everyone to "stay positive and shut the **** up"? That's called blind support. You can be critical of Rockets front brass decisions and still stick with the team.
