No. If that was the reason they probably would have tried to keep Lowry for another year at the very least. Player positions are the least of Morey's worries right now. He's trying to blow it up for a star, multiple stars, or a wealth of future potential players.
Morey has transformed the Rockets into a team worse than the Charlotte Bobcats or last year's New Orleans Hornets. We have now lost Dragic, Lowry, Budinger, Dalembert and probably Camby and Lee. The aforementioned were not "stars" but they were competent players. Only Scola, Martin and a cast of scrubs remain. Oh well, I guess there's always the Vipers, Spurs and Mavericks to augment college basketball.
While I don't like losing dragic , all the other moves so far I like. Budinger for Terrence Ross will be a steal. Asik will play top notch team defense. Had to clear space for a young defensive center like him. Why keep Lee? We have Lamb. Lamb is cheaper and the more touches the faster he will develop. Royce white is nothing but upside. Tremendous freaky court vision. Needs the ball in his hands to be effective. My future as a supportive rockets fan will be rewarded.
So, seeing that you are rooting for all of these other teams now, can you stop posting and take a few dozen other whining b****es with you? TIA.
I have 40 years invested in rooting for the Rockets -- I was attending Rockets games from the time they arrived from San Diego. When I see my team destroyed by a computer nerd who knows nothing about basketball, my rage surfaces. BTW, I said I will be watching -- not rooting for -- the aforementioned teams. At least they will be entertaining to watch rather than painful as in the Rockets case. So, BMoney, BGone.
