Is Morey just a double agent working for the Celtics?

If there's anything I do know right now, it's that nothing is 100%.

Agreed. The most important thing about next year will be our own lotto pick (likely to be better than Toronto's at this point). I don't think it matters all that much ywho's starting at pg. hope we can keep Linsanity for the long haul though or we just lost two top 15 pgs for a late lotto pick.

    But then again, Deckard's right, nothing's 100%

I think that if the Knicks add Raymond Felton, Jeremy Lin becomes a luxury they can't afford. Plus Lin was Dantoni's guy we don't know how well he meshes with Woodson.

Yes, and his handler is Bill Simmons, passing him encrypted orders under everybody's noses during interviews

if what was reported is correct, this just wastes everyone time. knicks will match for sure unless the deal is not what we know now.

Rockets are performing a public service to all non-taxpaying teams in 2014-15. That's all. ;)

Wow... this is such a weak deal for Lin. It's almost a half-hearted attempt of signing him. This is basically a 3 year $20M contract since 4th year is team option. Compare that to 4 year $34M for Dragic with the last year being player option. Knicks are probably laughing at that offer.

They are stupid if they match and they would regret it. Nobody is taking Amare off their hands and they already used their amnesty on Billups to get Chandler.

Some of you are still bitter because Dragic was not re-signed. He was player of the WEEK in the west, after that he went 0 for 7 in must-win games. We should have gave Mike James all that money, because he tore it up in Toronto during his contract YEAR.

Oh and I will miss Lowry. He was great for this team, but not the best distributor.

Houston today is the first day of the rest of your life.

Can't wait to watch summer league. So just how good do first round picks play anyway?............I mean if you stack them on top of each other with super glue and everything?

If this tactic becomes standard in the NBA the tax paying teams are going to get wrung dry.

After a full-day meeting, I expected a lot more of a poison pill than this weak POS. And Morey went to MIT to learn that.

This off-season is getting better and better.

Perhaps he is trying to create a de facto hardcap.

Because nothing is guaranteed. If the Knicks don't match for whatever reason, the Rockets don't want any current player or free agent to be locked in 4 years from now.

I maintain that it's not about driving up the price for NY but rather intentionally overpaying for mediocre players so that they can tank and still meet the minimum salary threshold once they trade away Scola and Martin.
