Why do you say that... im pretty sure orlando isnt thrilled with having kmart(but he could be used for cap reasons to send more shiit contracts) i definatly dont see them wanting scola... even if we trade them kmart because they want the expiring wed have scola who id be curious to see play next to dwight... also we need.a pg and obviously a fa veteran is what well have... plus if we trade kmart well most likely make a run at c.lee(whos dwights friend)...

Either way its a decent move... maybe its enough to land dwight, if not it kickstarts the rebuild...

Here you have one of the biggest Morey supporters, but if the move consists only in that pick, doesn't look very good in my mind. Colangelo got Lowry really cheap. I want to see the details of the trade confirmed.

I'm not saying that Martin or Scola would go to Orlando.

Someone said we have "veterans" to put around Howard.

Well, Scola and Martin are pretty much it... and we've been trying to get rid of them for over a year now.

My guess is they end up traded for more magic beans.

    Um....

Yes you did. You implied that he would sign with Brooklyn next year, I'm explaining to you how that is absolutely impossible unless they trade for him now.

Your "LeBron didn't re-sign did he?" comment isn't about you forgetting he got traded. The point is that he had the leverage to tell Cleveland he would sign outright with Miami to coax Cleveland into S&Ting him so he could get a bird rights deal. This isn't an option for Dwight. Completely different situations, and is in my opinion the main reason he is trying so hard to scare other teams off. He isn't going to walk away from the extra money. LeBron wasn't going to either, he knew about the S&T. (well maybe, but Cleveland was going to want the S&T compensation no matter what so he didn't have to worry about it.)

Heck, let's remember how we got Lowry. Rafer Alston for Kyle.

I said veterans... we wiould lose alot of youth in hypothetical trade for howard... we would have to sign a veteran pg... our only starter not a vet next yr would be parsons... of course its all hypothetical... sure we would still have a youth 2nd unit but that wouldnt be a bad mix...

I hope this is all about a trade for Howard and not tanking.
I don't buy season tickets to watch a tanking team.

They say don't count your chicken's before they're hatched but this is a giant dinosaur egg and it looks like it's Dwight that's crawling out.

Will we get a trade exception for trading Lowry?

Dont post much but I think many fans here have the wrong idea of what orlando really wants. Ofcourse no1 knows exactly what they want, but iam beginning to think 4 1sts ( both the tor pick and the dal pick+white+jonesand 1 youngster(ppat or d-mo)andmartins expiring so they can give us a contract they dont want..that is ALOT for a risk but iam willing to rent Howard knowing even he doesent sign i think the only way he bolts is in a S&T...so fans shouldnt panic just yet, patience is truly over-rated when you are trying to get a top 3 player without sending a borderline allstar to the other team ..my 2 cent

All this time he was hiding in plain sight.

Bima, can you answer whether we get a trade exception. I ask because Lowry's salary matches pretty closely with Jason Richardson. If the Rockets get themselves over the cap with some signings and a Dwight trade, they could conceivably use a trade exception with a pick to get Richardson (rumored that Orlando wants him gone)

Dwight made it pretty clear he will only sign an extension with one team. That team is not the rockets. After the last couple of years, what makes you think coming to the ****ing rockets would change his mind. hell, Orlando is in a better situation than we are.

Orlando could be very motivated if you'd take Turk's contract. Unfortunately I think it would take Montiejunas and two more since we don't have a C to send their way.

I'm referring to my previous post not the one several pages back. Because you keep saying the point is the Rockets can pay him the most...I'm saying the point is he absolutely doesn't want to play in Houston.

Actually yes I did forget. How are you going to prove that I did not forget? It just slipped my mind that they traded for him with the whole 'Decision' thing and that was all I remembered.

You know what's a completely different situation? That Lebron wouldn't have left Cleveland if he couldn't get the absolute max...because he could and did. So if Lebron wasn't going to pass up on millions then why did Cleveland trade him? Why didn't they call his bluff and keep their max offer on the table then?

If Dwight isn't going to pass up on millions then why is Orlando trading him? Even after letting him fire their coach....

The answer is teams are smart enough to know you can't have disgruntled superstar players on your team.
