Why would he be upset? He has advocated tanking for awhile now. What do people think "tanking" entails, roses and unicorns? When you are blowing a team up, your trade partners have all the leverage, which means you rarely get a fair return.
No, the pick cannot "vanish". My goodness, people. Read. https://twitter.com/#!/jonathan_feigen If you think Kyle Lowry has substantially more value than a lottery pick, you haven't been paying attention. We just went through all this less than two weeks ago.
they sent us the Orlando pick instead of their own, it was the deal if their pick was in the lottery. and the orlando pick (23rd, Mirotic) got us the 20th pick (Motiejunas)
In the Suns deal we ended up with Orlando's pick via the Suns. The deal was we get the Suns pick lotto protected, or the Magic pick if they failed to nake the playoffs. The suns do not owe us a pick.
holy bat crap, i hope we don't have to wait 5 years for this. as much as we can all talk about Lowry's value relative to last week's draft...the value of trading him for the a pick that would be 5 years is away is pretty effing diminished if you ask me.
These 7 should make the playoffs: Heat Bulls Knicks Celtics Pacers Nets 76ers Atlanta is a wildcard minus Joe Johnson Orlando is a wildcard depending on Howard deal Bucks/Cavs/Wizards/Raptors are all potentially playoff teams. Raptors success depends on jonas valanciunas being ready. I think they finish in the lottery.
Ah, thanks for correcting me guys. I wasn't sure if we had it or not. So 3 picks in the next draft again?
Oh, I am with there with you Sam. Although, I must admit that this is beginning to look a lot like the early 80s Rockets to me.
the Raps got the best of this deal. Lowry single-handedly wins games ...and they WILL be a playoff team. I have no idea what possed Morey to pull the trigger on this deal, but it smells like panic ...and homelss sex.
