They drafted Markieff that year, their pick is top 14 or 15 protected I'm pretty sure. I may be wrong though.
I don't see how anyone could be happy with this .. Especially since the pick can vanish if toronto manages to squeak into the playoffs the next 5 years ..It's just a gamble ...maybe we end up with nothing ... Kyle was worth more than that ..Even if we held on to him and kept shopping for a better offer ..You know some guys will go down to injury once play gets under way
Why didn't Morey just trade Lowry and 18 for 8?? Did Toronto really want Ross that badly??...because that trade would have been great value for them. And for the Rockets I would feel much better about trading Lowry for a high potential big like Drummond than this pick that will most likely be late lotto.
am I the only one looking forward to an exciting season we finally have a plan. TANK and move on. Yes, this could have been done a season ago and we might have been in a much better position, but even now is better than if we drag this out for a year or more.
