    The last two weeks have been a complete disaster. I thought we had a decent chance of signing Dwight and possibly even a decent chance of retaining him but in the madness of acquiring assets for Orlando we are doing nothing more than making our team worse. Even if we did manage to pull off a swap, we basically have the look of a rebuilding team - why would Dwight want to waste his prime on that?

    ....complete disaster.

    That plan works except you know Orlando wants future picks in the deal.

    I ask all the "we can accelerate rebuilding if Dwight leaves" people - how do we do that if Orlando has our picks?

    Lowry was always going to be a part of a Dwight deal, if one came about - either himself, or by flipping him for a pick and then inserting the pick (which may still happen). There was never a possibility of Lowry being on a D12 team. Meanwhile, Lee is still very much an option.

    Losing Dragic hurts, but it's not a franchise-changing loss. I don't think he alone would be the different in keeping Dwight. There are still moves that can be made there.

    This off-season put me in a unstable mental state so I'm pretending nba2k12 is the real NBA and I put Dwight on the Rockets with Chris Paul :grin::eek:
