Can somebody post some highlights of our rookies this season?

Could use something to give me some hope.

i think you can still rebuild with asik at center. he's like what nick collison is for the thunder. Someone that has been consistent on a team, but as the talent grows around them, the team realizes his importance. hopefully the vision morey had with gortat is translatable to asik.

in the mean time, lets play rookies and get high draft picks for the next few years. i will take either parker, shabazz, wiggins, or nerlens.

Probably no one on the current roster. It is, after all, the Morey Way.

I would be fine watching the youngsters as well. I want to see what they can do on the floor instead of what they can possibly bring in as trade bait.

Hopefully the Rockets agree and we can enjoy watching our team of the future learn to play together and Morey will stop trying to perpetually overhaul the entire roster for a few years. (yeah, right...)

Could add a little to the title.

    "Forced Rebuilding"

    (due to inept GM)

Question: What are we working with?
We have too many forwards . . .so we have to fill out some other roster spots?

We do. I think the plan is to move a couple for an upgrade at another spot but I don't think that's going to happen so I'm gonna assume our roster is this going forward(no pun intended). I expect we'll take a look at all of them over the summer and hope one or two of them is a player. Dump the rest.
What are we working with? Not sure, and I don't think the rockets are either.

Who on this team do you see as major part of the team for the next 5 years?

Complete guesses on my part, but in order of who I THINK will pan out are
    Lamb
    White
    Parsons

Is Parson's our SF of the future . .. or just SF of now?

He is for sure the SF for now, but he has to become a better shooter to be the SF of the future. Also in the mix is the Royce situation. I'm drinking the kool-aid pretty hard with this guy. Even if Parsons improves, he may not have a chance of starting over this guy in a couple of years. I think White is gonna be a baller.

    KLowry?

If we sign Linn, he's gone. If NY matches I think you see things get smoothed over between him and mchale and he becomes the unquestioned leader of this team. I really hope he stays.
Is ASIK our center of the future?

    Yep

Who on this squad would you say . . . ____ is our ____ of the Future?

Lamb is our SG of the future.

I have made my peace with everything

So have I. Having a hard time reading the constant b****ing on the board lately. This is our team, give or take a couple of more moves. We have some things to be excited about.

    so
Tell me. . who should I be keeping an Eye On

    Lamb, he's a potential star
    White, he's a potential mega-star

Of course this is just my opinion and they could all be junk like 90% of the board seems to think. I prefer to stay a little optimistic.

This is Morey's plan guys. By getting close on all these deals but not completing them he is going to turn and tell Les, "well we tried, can we tank now?".

    Nothing new to see here.

    Scola and Martin are goners.

Lee may be back, just depends.

Lowry is probably here to stay, can't see Lin ending up here.

    PG - Lowry / Livingston
    SG - Lee (?) / Lamb
    SF - Parsons / White
    PF - Montiejunas / Patterson
    C - Asik / Camby

Etc - Leuer, Jones, Morris, Smith, Fortson

LOL! I hope so. I doubt it though. Its just what Morey is capable of. I am glad he is real strength is being forced on him. I think he can build through talent and youth. Not by trying to trade for them or convince them to come here.

    There's two guys that does.

One started a fight with this site founder and Bima (the salary cap expert), said he could coach a college team if he wanted to, and apparently has used different accounts here to reply to his own posts.

The other puts spaces between words and passes them off as poems.

They are big personalities here ...

Is Camby really plausible? We haven't talked to him yet, and others are interested in him. The way this offseason is going, we'll lose him, too.

We just can't catch a break....

The fail for Houston is we are getting strung along by Orlando and other teams are just doing their thing which is destroying our once decent package for Dwight. Just in the last week the following completely unexpected moves caused Houston to lose out in some way:

-Unexpected move: Jordan takes MKG at the #2, Thomas Robinson slides to the 5
Consequence for Houston: they don't acquire the 5th pick as expected since Kings only wanted Robinson only, presumably the trade they were engineering with Orlando doesn't materialize as a result, Houston is stuck drafting 3 first rounders.

-Unexpected move: Lakers engineer a sign and trade with Nash
Consequence for Houston: Suns throw a lot of money at Dragic, we lose our backup plan that made Lowry(arguably our best asset) expendable. We are forced to pay Lin(yuck).

-Unexpected move: Atlanta manages to unload Joe Johnson to the Nets
Consequence for Houston: another potential enticing destination for Dwight Howard opens up - his hometown with his best friend(Josh Smith), and possibly the chance to play with Chris Paul. Atlanta manages to retain trade assets meaning they can potentially compete with Houston for Howard in a trade by offering a young all star(Horford) and an emerging guard(Teague).

...the thing is - no one had any of those moves on their radar but the end result is all these "pre-Dwight" moves have screwed us.

I see what the plan is now. It is a 10 year plan to have 5 superstars in your starting lineup. First 2 years draft all PF's, one of them is bound to pan out. Next up C give it 2 years and he will find a good one. Then sf, sg, pg. In ten years we will be a dynasty. Morey is a stats guru and this plan is flawless. If you ignore all the flaws
