The Thunder got much tallet this off-season. 6'11" Perry Jones, and now possibly 7'3" Thabeet. Last season their tallest players were Muhammed and Durant at 6'10". They were long but not very big. They got better.
RE: ^^^ I know Cole Aldrich is listed at 6'11" but I've seen him and KD stand side by side and Durant looks a bit taller.
Hahaha, remember that one r****ded clutchfan poster who went to all this trouble to make a thread called "Cookin with tha beet"? It got 5 stars and people was all high on hasheem thinkin he was gon be some amazin player an they all wanted him on da rockets, lol
Marc J. Spears @SpearsNBAYahoo 7-3 center Hasheem Thabeet agrees to two-year deal with @okcthunder, source tells Y! Second overall pick in 2009 draft joining his 4th team.
I wish I could make millions of dollars sitting on bench courtside watching an exciting basketball game most nights...
He has all the tools and potential to become a decent back-up Center in this league. Why not give him a chance and who better than the reigning Western Conference Finals.
If the Thunder want him for spot minutes at the 5, I'm sure they can make it work. We wanted to develop him into a serviceable center to eventually start. Yeah the Thunder still made a pretty good run through the draft and free agency while still maintaining their entire team. (or the main core of it anyways)
Hopefully Cole takes Nazr's minutes. And Thabeet takes Cole's previous spot on the bench/victory celebration. Read this at DailyThunder, "The expectation is a fully guaranteed, minimum level deal (totaling about $880,000 per year)" Makes me feel a lot better about the signing.
1st round pick in 2009, that plays like a 1st round pick from 1973... meaning he plays like a old man and can't move.
Do you guys realize that Thabeet is going to be the owner of an NBA championship next year. Let me repeat that. Hasheem Thabeet will be wearing an NBA Championship Ring next year.
Athletic? Have you ever seen the guy try to run? He literally looks like he is trying out for the Special Olympics.
