Is it possible to bring over Sergio Llull if we don't get Lin? I think he will be a great backup to Lowry or whoever doesn't get shipped out next.
Guy has potential and plays with fire. If it doesn't work out at least we will get a higher pick.

Take a chance. He is the highest bought 2nd round pick for a reason.

I want another Gogi ASAP :(

Not until next season when his buy out becomes manageable

If we fail to sign Lin its time to find a suitor to take Martin for another young guy or draft pick. Then go from there. Allow the guys we already have to take the PG spot.

How bad is it? If the rockets only sign asik, they should still have quite a bit of money left over. I think they could give Lull a little extra in salary to help out with the buyout

I was trying to find this out, but all I could find was Feigen mentioning that it was huge this season and modest next year. Still looking for the numbers.

NBA team can only spend about $750,000 on buyouts for European players. I'm sure Llull's buyout is a lot more than that.

From digging around it's ~5mil euros ($6.26 mil).

You can actually paid any amount that you want, as long as you have the cap room for it:

It seems that the issue is that "signing bonus" is limited to 15% of total contract value, so if his buyout is indeed $6.25M, $550K would be excluded. The "signing bonus" would be $5.7K, this means the contract value total must be $38M if I read it correctly-- which is well above what they were offering Dragic and Lin. If this is true, then I don't think it's realistic for them to bring him over right now.

Nice find. I've known he couldn't come over this season due to the cost, but I thought it was due to what it would cost Llull. Actually, in this instance, it's what it would cost the Rockets. A pity, but no surprise. Having Llull come over this season would quiet a lot of ticked off fans. Ain't happening.

This is our hope. Great court vision and can hit the open shot from distance. Won't be effective scoring in the lane so that will be what hurts but he should be able to do everything else at a NBA level.

    Yes to Llull.

    Trade Lowry for Frontcourt help.

    Sign Ramon Sessions.

Sessions and Lin. I can live w/ that.

This. I really hope he makes the team. We need a pointguard if Lin's offer gets matched and Lowry gets traded.

Llull's not coming over for this season and if we strike out on Lin(which I'm hoping Knicks match) I suggest that we make a trade for Clippers PG Eric Bledsoe!!
