I am still in shock that the Suns took Dragic from us at 4 years 30 million. I am just in disbelief and tbh very disappointed in Rockets management for not resigning this guy. This lin stuff doesn't excite me.
Pretty sure an offer similar to Lin's was offered to Goran, which when compared to Sun's offer was again similar. That just tells you that Goran wasn't interested in staying in Houston, can't blame the management for this one.
This is the exact take i would have had in prior years. BUT at the end of the day it is management's responsibility to resign their own players and bring in players. So far the Rockets have been awful at this. It is up to Rockets front office to make this team an attractive place to play. For whatever reason nobody seems to want to play here and it is getting highly annoying. I don't put 100% blame on management but i also do not give them a free pass. This mediocrity BS is starting to take it's toll on the fans as well.
Aaron Brooks won the MIP and was bound to get paid so they traded him to the Suns for Dragic. Now it's Gogi's time to get paid and.. we let him go. What does this mean?
When LA trades for Dwight Howard next week will Stern veto that for basketball reasons, now that they have Nash?
if one or two or even three times it happens it might not be managements fault but time after time after time ect.?
DM is a very smooth talker when he smooth talk all the other GMs for trades.. but he absolutely fail to keep his players. He low balled everyone, and almost everyone that sign extension have gone....
We very well my regret losing dragic, but at least we aren't handicapped by any bad contracts and will now truly start to rebuild.
Asik and Lin could very well be bad contracts, so don't speak so soon. I was a big Morey supporter, but it seems he got stuck in a particular mindset and wasn't willing to change with the fluid nature of free agency. These are a high risk contracts for mediocre players that will never be all stars.
