This is the gripe most people have. It's not about Steve Nash being with other stars. The Lakers have 3 all-stars, MWP probably could still be an all-star if not for taking a smaller role, they have some underrated roleplayers. The Lakers & Celtics from the 80s or the Rockets from the late 90s get mentioned for having multiple stars, teams were deeper back then. I like Steve Nash a lot, he might have won a ring if not for the all the stuff that went down in the 2007 series against the Spurs. Grant Hill has been one of my 5 favorite players since he came into the league (even now despite him taking a smaller role). Just like Pau Gasol, I can root for them individually as long as the Lakers don't get another championship. ESPN & the media are biased enough as it is. The Lakers keep getting established talent while the media keeps putting a spin things. Last season, Ramon Sessions was supposedly what the Lakers needed for years and they still got roasted. The Pau Gasol trade aside, they didn't give up much for Ramon Sessions when numerous teams wanted him. They even got Cleveland to take Luke Walton's contract. I wanted Nash to return to Dallas, or for them to get some quality PG. I like Deron, I was just afraid Cuban would overpay him. I also felt that Jerry Sloan made Deron look better than he was made out to be.
I suspected as much. Given that Bynum is valued by Buss, the Lakers have just increased their already high budget even more ( something they were clearly reluctant to do last trade deadline), and that Bynum is a good center as it is, I think the Lakers will try to just roll with the team as it is and keep the cheaper center. If it doesn't work out as well as one would think, then you'll see a Howard trade.

I think it was more that Kobe relegated Dwight down to THIRD option. More than it being Dwight wanting to be #1. Reportedly, Kobe discussed that himself and Gasol would be the 1st 2 options to get offensive touches, then Dwight would get the remaining. I'm sure thats an exaggerated account to make Kobe the eternal ball hog. But then later on during the season, Kobe was suspiciously willing to let Andrew Bynum be a main work horse and get touches in front of Gasol. Its both to SHOWCASE Bynum to get traded for Dwight, and to send out a message that big men CAN get scoring oppurtunities with the Lakers
I hate the fact that Nash went to the team i hate the most But the Suns are rebuilding, and the Lakers are well the Lakers. He might have a chance to win a title( which he deserves BIG TIME)
For sure. Folks up here (especially the media) are roasting Cuban & Nelson right now over the failed attempt to land D Williams.

Yeah, , I would never watch a team like that! Spoiler This is an interesting move, kind of brave for Nash since there are so many headcases in LA and you have Kobe not facing his declining skills. But think about this: when has Kobe really had an elite set-up man? Ever. Payton was done when got to LA, so he didn't really get to play with Payton. Kobe catches and shoots surprisingly well, but he usually doesn't get that chance. This could be fun to watch. I don't have the same amount of LA hate as some of you. That is really stored up for the Mavs and the Spurs in my case.
Parity in Hockey not actually translating to popularity? Check. NBA Finals with highest ratings in years? Check. You can go watch your Hockey. The rest of the world doesn't care.
