Would you really be unhappy if the Rockets strike out in FA and go with youngsters?

to be honest no i wouldnt be dissapointed. Yeah it will hurt for a while but better than staying mediocre

 

I wonder if Toronto would trade us Calderon, rights to Terrance Ross and a first round draft pick for Lowry and Scola. You'd then just have to find a taker for Martin and you'd be in total rebuild.

 

Like most people I was disappointed on Draft night with the trade hype but I have really grown to want to keep our young players

In the NBA, being the worst is better than being the best of the worst unless you are one of the glamor teams. Would rather the Rockets finish around the bottom as long as guys like Lamb, Morris, Pat & White get plenty of time to develop than watch another year of being 1st round knockouts at best.

 

hell, just trade lowry too, let machado start. I don't even want asik, so I hope the bulls match. he might actually help us too much. trade klow,scola, martin and let all they young guys play,oh and for the love of god please just switch morris back to pf, he'll be better there.

fill out the rest of the roster with the stuff we get back from martin lowry scola trades. hopefully we get a couple draft picks too. this roster definitely, hopefully won't win to many games, and we get a top five, hopefully top 3 pick. draft shabazz, noels, or zeller, tank again for a couple more years, until the rookies turn into veterans and hopefully we're the next okc. definitely a possibilty

 

I would be happy to see the Rockets go young! Some of those kids have some seriously good talent. It may take a couple of years but the sooner we get them on the floor the sooner they can learn the NBA game.

 

This process should've started in the summer 3 yrs ago. Let scola and tracy walk and the following yr let yao retire injured like he did. I guess 3 yrs late is better than never

 

I for one am all for tanking the season and allowing the young guns to go out and get experience, but don't the Rockets have to meet a minimum amount when it comes to the salary cap. I don't know for sure but i thought they had to have a percentage of the salary cap on the books, like 48 million or something like that.

This makes me more excited for this season

 

Best case scenario, a couple kids exceed expectations and show all star capabilities.

Worst case is more draft picks, similar cap space, in a better free agent market.

 

The worst part is that the team led us on for so long. We always have been in second place to land the big trades, to just give up on it after three years of mediocrity seems anti-climatic. I'm still holding out for the big DH12 trade but it's looking unlikely.

We are hosting an allstar game, wonder if we can get anyone on our roster to the game. Has any hosting team ever not had a player on the team?
