Omar Asik - potential elite defender / rebounder
Royce White - very high upside
Jeremy Lamb - very high upside
Chandler Parsons - elite defender
Kyle Lowry or Jeremy Lin or both

If your going to rebuild your team with the youth movement that is a very intriguing set of players to start with.

IF we can convince Lowry to play at a high level with us and mend fences, all is fine b/c a healthy Lowry is better than Goran/Lin.

 

LOL, like it's Morey's money?? Morey just operates under the pretenses that are given to him by the owner. However, the offer the Rockets gave Dragic was not "cheap". There were other factors at play here, like the fact that the Rockets could not guarantee Dragic the starting position.

 

Goran was a better team player than Lowry. I think Lowry resented Goran. It's definitely a loss for the rockets. In my opinion, Lowry and Martin need to be traded. We have young guys that need to be around a team first and competitive atmosphere. Really liked Lowry before the start of the season and halfway through it but he really disappointed me with his attitude after coming back.

 

Even if Jeremy Lamb turns into a 20 ppg scorer and makes a coup,e of all star games in his career?

 

Oops I meant Jeremy Lamb and Jones.

Still though, getting rid of Chase and Dally was the right move in order to bring in two young guys (Lamb especially I feel) that would either become valuable to our team or to others.

 

Intriguing? What the hell is intriguing about that roster? Especially when you add Scola and Martin.

 

Looking at the contract figure, it's becoming very clear that Dragic was intending to settle for less with Phoenix right from the beginning. We were essentially pursuing a man who wasn't giving us a fair opportunity. I hate to say this, but the point guard situation is becoming very precarious. We've lost our main man to Phoenix and we're left with a disgruntled Lowry with his bacterial infection and some D-League reggae singer.

At this point, I'm still very confident Morey will make moves to ship Kmart and Lowry to obtain someone decent. Our roster is now so very imbalanced with Power Forward, it's absolutely impossible to imagine we'll head into training camp with this. I say keep your ears tuned to talks for Jameer Nelson, OJ Mayo, Kirk Hinrich, Raymond Felton or Jarryd Bayless...

 

Dragic can't sign until July 11th. Cant the rockets just offer Dragic a bigger deal? Maybe 4- year, $40M? Didnt Boozer agree to a deal with the Cavs but changed his mind and signed with the Jazz?

I'm really not all that torn up... It seems like everyone has forgotten how good Lowry was before he got injured/sick.

Most people considered him an allstar snub.

Whether we end up with Lowry or Lin, we'll be in good hands at PG
