Hardly a difference, they could even structure it for less $/yr, but more overall with a 5th year.

 

Why are people blaming Morey? It's Les' money. If Les wanted Dragic back no matter the cost, he would have been back.

 

Here's hoping the Rockets can reconcile with Lowry, or we get Lin. SIGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Please let these dark ages be over soon. I'm a broken hearted Rockets fan. Broke up with my girlfriend and now my Rockets are broke. My business is broke. The least the could happen for me is for the Rockets to do well!! Please let it be so!

I'd hate to hear what some of these people would have said about Hakeem back in the late '80s/early '90s if this forum had been around.

He was having problems with the club and there were tons of rumors going around that he would be traded.

Of course he wasn't because both sides worked out their differences and it resulted years later in 2 titles.

But had this forum been around back 20+ years ago there would have been many people here calling Hakeem all sorts of names and calling for him to be traded because people want instant gratification.

My thought on this is if you truly love the Rockets then be patient and remain patient. If you want instant gratification or you are gonna whine all the time then become a sell out fan of the Lakers or Celtics.

I picked this team as my fave in 1977 when I was a kid and have followed them closely since 1980. I've seen times when the team was the absolute WORST in the NBA. For those of you who weren't around for those times count your blessings 'cuz it wasn't fun at all. It was a true test for real fans. The fair-weather ones jumped onto some other team's bandwagon.

I understand being frustrated but let's remember when it's all said and done it's only a game. Some people take this stuff WAY too serious.

Seriously, switch teams if it bothers you too much. Life's too short to wring your hands over something like this...

I'm thinking that Morey has something up his sleeve for Lowry, which is why he is pursuing Lin after Dragic and not sticking with Lowry.

Don't we have Livingston on the roster? Couldn't he do the starting PG role? Or even the backup PG?

 

It seems the Rockets have absolutely no direction. We keep drafting 6'9 forwards, we keep playing it safe with every freaking free agent and deal we attempt to make, we keep treating our players as objects rather than human beings, we keep coming up short in every single trade for a superstar we try to make, our coaching got worse, our rookies do not have superstar potential so there is no hope here, we have no continuity we just keep shuffling players around hoping that something will turn out well, we keep alienating our own free agents which seem that most would like to stay but Morey attempts to low ball them. I don't really understand what we are doing as a franchise and I think I am starting to lose hope and faith that we will ever put a winning product out there under Morey's reign. I don't know if I really want to support this franchise anymore.

Yeah he disappeared, that's why they traded him. Like I said, not denying the talent, but there's always that contract year risk, especially when they haven't done it for more than 2 months.

 

Oh yeah? Then why are we offering multi-year deals to Asik and Lin? For *****s and giggles? Don't tell me that's a rebuild.
