    Practically the same offers:

Suns' offer to Dragic, $34 mil over 4yrs

Rumored offer from HOU to Lin, $30 mil over 4yrs

Financially Lin's contract will be a hit to the Rockets in the 3rd and 4th years because it's backloaded.

Exactly. I've been a pretty big Morey supporter, but he doesn't think Dragic is worth $1M more a year than Lin?!?!

I'm really disappointed by this, ugh. :(

Treating your players like assets will get you no where, suck it up rockets fans, basketball isnt just numbers and formulas, its heavily evoled with emotions.

Disagree. Lowry is a solid point guard, but I dot think he is better than dragic. There are things dragic does that Lowry will never be able to do. Dragic can do everything else Kyle does just as well other than rebounding. He was just as good in the starts he got in phoenix in place of Nash as he was last year for nearly half the season. No reason it won't continue.

Kyle is cheaper though. That was a contract he got as a backup though.

Half of clitchfans was calling Lowry great after his first year coming off the bench for AB, dont see why its so hard to admit how good dragic is after his stretch as a starter. It lasted longer than the couple weeks Lowry was on fire ( when people were calling him an allstar/star player ) early last season before he cooled off to his 14 and 6 per game. That's probably about as good as it gets with Kyle, maybe a bit better. I just think dragic is capable of more than that, at least offensively.

PHX - HOU rivalry in the making? Lowry vs. Dragic, will make for some good basketball.

There's still a huge risk factor with Dragic. The guy disappeared in PHX which is why they were quick to trade him for Brooks. He was also in a contract year...not going to deny the talent, but the he might have some effort issues.

I have been a staunch Morey supporter, but after all the "welcome back Gogi" crap from the Rockets, this really has me shaking my head. I just don't get what Morey is doing this off-season.

per espn they didn't offer him a starting job, so that was an issue too, not (just) money...

Just because things have not gone as we all would have wished this off-season doesn't mean we should panic and make bad moves. There's no reason to overpay Dragic if we still have Kyle Lowry here on a better contract, especially if we can't get good value in trade for Lowry. I frankly think there is not too big of a difference between all 3 PGs we have been considering (Lowry, Dragic, and Lin). They all are solid and have potential to be borderline All-Stars. You might as well keep the one you can have at the cheapest price (Lowry).

Doesn't look like there will be a deal w Lin, either. Rockets did make offer tonight. Like Gordon, Dragic, he'll leave town w/out taking it. BWWWAAAAAA

I just can't stop laughing right now. This has got to be the worst offseason in this entire decade.
EDIT: LMFAO. We didn't even get Lin. We suck.

This of all moves makes no sense , Lowry makes 5 million as your "starter" so if the Rockets have no plans in trading him , he just saw that the rockets offered 7 million to dragic , to which Lowry probably thinks he is now being under paid ! Or even an offer to Lin for that matter

No way you can bring Lowry back now , and if the Rockets did offer 7 for Dragic then 8.5 would of been worth it because they are already overpaying .

They will say the exact same thing they are saying about Dragic

Its obvious whats going on with agents, and how they view Houston now

Epic fail. I would rather pay $8.5M a year to Dragic than to Asik. As much as you guys complain, we probably can't even keep Lin.

Honestly I haven't laughed this much before in a long time. Reading all these comments and talking to some of my friends about this team makes me laugh.

If Lin can actually play and defend the SG position(didn't he do it in college?), our backcourt rotation of Lin, Lowry, and Lamb could be damn nice for the future.
